Caretaker
Synopsis:
The Marquis ship and Voyager are pulled into the Delta Quadrant by
an entity known as the Caretaker.
Date
Released:
Between 3rd and 23rd September 2001
Interesting
Facts:
This holds the record for the longest time ever to write an episode
of FV. For a short while each part was released separately, but as
you can tell it had to be like the original and I really lost
interest in writing it. Eventually the other parts were released and
it was completed seven months after it's first part. Even the longest
Season Four and Five release gaps are shorter by a few months.
Current
Feedback:
It has received one or two reviews on fanfiction.net and an old
forum member commented positively about it. Still don't get why
though. It has received one or two votes as well.
Goofs:
As it's like the original version you'll have to check goofs in an
actual Voyager guide lol, all I can think of is why was Voyager armed
with Tricobolts? || In the original I thought Kes ran up to a guy
saying "hello daddy" when it was actually (thanks to
finally watching my Voyager Season 1 DVD set with subtitles) Daggin.
God damn it, Elogium made me think she was talking about him like he
was still alive on Ocampan "I guess I feel lonely, for home"
made me think that. Oh well, I'm a tad embarrased about that but
never mind.

Parallax
Synopsis:
As soon as B'Elanna starts to settle into her new job, Tom gets into
trouble with the Marquis crewmembers. Meanwhile Faye finds herself in
another life.
Date
Released:
14th April 2002
Interesting
Facts:
This was originally written back in summer 2001 during a holiday,
that version followed the original except it had some extra
James/Jessie shipping hints (you know to the college fake
relationship they had, instead there's just one comment from Tom) and
obviously Tom's misfortune with a few Marquis crewmembers, not just
Jessie. He did insult Lisa's long hair, Danny but I can't remember
how, Jessie and B'Elanna. The released version was changed only cos
the paper copy was again too like Caretaker with extra scenes.
Current
Feedback:
I'll say it here, B4FV Season One is the least popular series so far
(2004's awards category Best Season proves that, though one person
did bother to vote for it) and considering there's only a few token
average episodes, three great ones (in my opinion: Outside of Time,
Learning Curve and Obsession) and the rest utter failures, it's not
surprising. Most of the season hasn't had any kind of feedback.
Weirdly enough though Phage has had a vote, and that should be
considered one of the weakest.. luckily everyone's spot on with State
of Flux (or was until recently when it was voted for)

The
Eye of Ramn
Synopsis:
Jessie gets a strange alien bracelet as a birthday present, and it
causes her to swap bodies with an alien girl.
Date
Released:
21st April 2002
Interesting
Facts:
The beginning of the episode is actually from the original version
of Parallax that was written on holiday, I just felt that there
wasn't enough time to type it into Parallax. Eye of Ramn was also
started during the holiday but it never got that far.

Synopsis:
Janeway and James become trapped a day in the past on a doomed
planet. As that is happening Tom's attempts to be Jessie's 'friend'
goes horribly wrong.
Date
Released:
26th May 2002
Interesting
Facts:
This episode was the first prequel episode tackled in any shape or
form.. the first scenes were James and Janeway appearing one day in
the past.. it was going to be a little mixed up and a little
confusing that way, as it looked like it was going to be in the
timeline's order (the two appearing, solving the mystery, power
plant, Janeway not figuring it out first time, flash then Voyager a
day later).

Phage
Synopsis:
Neelix gets attacked on an away mission and his lungs are stolen.
Meanwhile Janeway and Chakotay are getting sick of certain
crewmembers, and they force them on an away mission to get rid of them.
Date
Released:
5th June 2002
Interesting
Facts:
Even though this episode does in fact introduce a member of the
FVDA, the "villains" of the prequel series, it was only
meant to be a re-write of the original with no silly Cherry Coke
subplot. This was only written that way cos the Season 1 curse tried
to infect the prequels when it couldn't affect the main Season 2, ok
I don't know why.. that's the only thing I can think of ^_^
Current
Feedback:
Got two votes, and I'm sure it's been involved in the awards - I
think it may have been nominated for Worst Episode Re-write - I know
Hunters won that along with one other.

Synopsis:
As Janeway scares some of the crew with her hyper behaviour, James
& Jessie try to sort out their relationship. Meanwhile Janeway
confirms her terrible secret which causes chaos.
Date
Released:
21st June 2002
Interesting
Facts:
Not really interesting but this is one of the few episodes that
actually turned out better than planned, the others are Obsession,
Outside of Time (Part 1 anyway) and Learning Curve.
Current
Feedback:
Nothing apart from a flame criticising me for writing Pokémon
James & Jessie into the series - I'd understand that kind of
flame in the main Season 1 but in this season, no. Unless anyone has
seen a Pokémon episode where James has constantly punched guys
in the face, threatened one, killed two people by just hitting them,
and has he ever mentioned having a coffee obsessed mum who grew up in
a farmhouse.. (I mean in later seasons obviously) anyone, no? As for
Jessie, yeah she's vicious but I doubt you'd see Jessie in a
Pokémon episode crying about mistreating James and whatnot.
Again anyone? No.. ok, somebody obviously just skimmed the ep and
decided it would be fun to annoy me.

Ex
Post Facto
Synopsis:
Tom gets accused of murder on an alien planet, meanwhile the Fifth
Voyager Destruction Association try to be villainous but fail miserably.
Date
Released:
26th September 2002
Interesting
Facts:
Obviously Damien was meant to be in the prequels to introduce him
properly, and to explain why his character is such a mess in Season
One in FV style (in other words fix a mistake I made by basing him
originally on a real person and then changing him, so it makes sense
in the series). However I hadn't figured out how, he couldn't of been
already the "tyrant" behind the Seventh dimension stuff as
it was new in Season One, and of course the crew reacted to him like
'meh it's just Damien' like the most evil thing he ever did was steal
socks so pairs were broken, in Aggressions (ok they didn't even
react, they just ignored him ^_^). The story sort of evolved from the
incident in Phage and the fun I had with the celebs during the
writing of Transfigurations.. so the scene where the FVDA is first
mentioned was added in later and bingo, Damien's part in the series
was created. True in Season 2 & 3 (prequels) he should of been in
the main cast but truthfully most of the time I didn't plan his
appearances in episodes in advance so at the time, I never thought of
it. Only when it came to the finale of Season Four I had an idea
about it.. there's more about that subject in Season Four/Five's guide.
Current
Feedback:
No feedback, I know that cos it's one of the ones I consider
flawless (not really brilliant like some of Season Four but still
it's a pleasant read with no cringy scenes, that's what I call
flawless), and was disappointed nobody said a thing or voted for it.
Goofs:
In the flashbacks James was suppose to be speaking his first word
when he says 'b**ch', hence the reason why he's quiet before then..
that's mentioned in Season 3, but after that I noticed his age in the
flashbacks and he should of spoken earlier than that. Jessie does
mention that he was a shy kid when she first met him, but he still
should of spoke sometime during flashes as he wouldn't of been shy
around his family. Oh well.

Deception
& Betrayal
Synopsis:
A shuttle returns to Voyager with Chakotay brain dead inside.
Meanwhile Danny, Ian, Jessie and James face the ultimate test of all.
Date
Released:
7th November 2002
Interesting
Facts:
This episode originally was mostly a Cathexis parody, with a bit of
a subplot. The subplot gained new ideas and extra stuff was added in,
some of the less original/less funny scenes of Cathexis was taken
out. The new stuff in the subplot was the two tormenters being
revealed, and to be FVDA agents too. The dialogue, actually just
Gwen's (off memory only) was just copied stuff of what somebody said
about / directed to.. etc me during the "war" back in late
2001 to beg of 2003 by the so called girlfriend, not all lines were
but some of them were like the leg breaking threat, Gwen being
overprotective basically over Darren.. you get the idea. You wont
know it but Gwen was only introduced into the episode to be the girl
who was saying this stuff to/about (mainly about) me via the
internet, this was my way of getting revenge and to hopefully show
her what she was doing was taking sides without knowing much to begin
with. Yes I was petty then, I learned my lesson.. I'm only petty to
celebs I can't stand now, they'll never know ^_^ Besides the revenge
is even funnier if my theory about the girlfriend was right, that it
was really him himself posting as her.. I guess it should of been
Darren saying it considering that he does turn into a girl later
right? || This interesting fact thing's going to get me into
trouble again ^_^ I never said it then but I've known for years now,
I wasn't the 100% innocent victim.. maybe 80% || The episode
was mainly changed cos the original was rubbish with a few jokes, and
a little friendship theme but the other reason was partially above.
The war between me and the guy grew ugly(ier) at this point when he
claimed Firera and Charizard were on his side, the subplot at the
time was a homage to that and it needed to be given more episode time
and of course as the girlfriend thing (again who Gwen is based off)
got more annoying.
Current
Feedback:
A few people have voted for it, and it was the only contender for
Best Episode in 2004 against Baby Don't Swear. I'm sure someone's
commented on it too, in a good way. I don't remember ever reading any
backlash from it either ^_^
Goofs:
Strange that two people with celeb names that actually look like
them could live out their lives, without anyone noticing that.
Obviously Tom was the only 20th century nut after all.

Date
Released:
24th January 2003
Interesting
Facts:
This was originally a two parter, the second half was broken a
while. To fix it the trick for Halloween was used, it was all merged
into one episode file, leaving a few scenes that were less important
to be deleted - in the end the second half would of been tiny in
comparison to the first half anyway so it was left as a single
episode. All the readers had until it was fixed was a partial recap
in the following episode showing a few of the lines in the second
half. Sound familiar? The Rhythm woop ^_^ Actually that recap in It's

Date
Released:
29th January 2003
Interesting
Facts:
Vulpix had made a huge plot twist to this episode, but she
discovered how long it was before even getting there.. the lines
mentioned in the ep itself is accurate ("But
why, we could have lots more fun. We could go further forward and
stop your mum getting killed or something. That is what's in the plot"
- Q. "The plot's
longer than the last two parter's plot, I don't think so"
- James). She decided on just changing the plot twist into one small
scene, so James' meddling ends at the college fight and be done with
it. Such a waste. Though Dark Page may have turned out different if
it was done, the Nutty Q could of changed James' stepmum's murderer
as he may not have known himself. It would of been anyway, Vulpix
didn't know the killer back then anyway ^_^
