Fifth Voyager -- Season Four
(do not read episodes you have not got to yet, unless you want to be spoilt)

Scary But True (Part 2)

Episode Released: 12th July 2003
Vulpix's Rating: 8/10
Guide: Following on from the FV Season Three finale, the injured or dead crewmembers all recover, except for James who is seemingly dead after being attacked by Iinan. On the moon though his actual body is found in the cave, and is treated by the moon's new natives. Once Jessie sees the body that is on Voyager, she reveals that it is actually Iinan's.
Title Meaning: See Season Three.

Notes
+ Marill was worried that Fifth Voyager had too many cast members so a few that were barely in the third season were taken out for Season Four, and made special guest stars.
+ James Marsters joins the cast as Ronnie/Daniel after being a guest star for several episodes.
+ The first part was inspired by the film Talos the Mummy, and had a similar storyline as a result. However part two is based after the movie ends if you get my meaning, the movie ends with the mummy actually winning.
+ Part 1 made it look like Iinan had killed James to regenerate, but Part 2 clearly shows Iinan ran out of time but still managed to stab him. The stumpy aliens were still around and tried to help him.. also they found Craig tied up and tortured.
+ Some of the Pokémon cast were the sacrifices that reincarnated and became the organ donors. Remember the planet is in a different time frame to the normal universe.
+ Damien teamed up with Iinan, god help us all ^_^
+ No main characters died permanently.
+ Jessie knew Iinan wasn't James just by looking at him, sweet ^_^
+ Damien's new host is Justin Timberlake.
+ Lena discovers that the Kiara who helped Iinan was in fact Seventh Kiara, well technically another Kiara brainwashed to think she was Seventh Kiara.
+ Fifth Kiara is held captive on the Pegasus.
+ Zare returns to Voyager as a guest star, supposably cured from the incidents in Broken Wreck and It's Your Duty. Since It's Your Duty hasn't been released yet we're just left to wonder why Jessie hates her so much ^_^
+ Ronnie loses his memory after a bad bump on the head and becomes Daniel.
+ Thanks to Damien Iinan has a second chance to regenerate, he has to use Duncan this time.
+ Duncan, like his mother, can also tell the difference between Iinan and his dad.
+ Jessie tries a protecting spell on Duncan but it just makes him an adult, well it does protect him for a while. She manages to reverse it slightly but now he has the body of an seven year old.
+ Iinan is destroyed for good as he gets his head chopped off by Zare, plus James smashes his remains.

Half of the Heart

Episode Released: 26th July 2003
Vulpix's Rating: 9/10
Guide: Several years before the present, Damien uses James' DNA to accidentally clone a copy. Back in the present Voyager and the Enterprise find a moon with human lifesigns on it, so they go to investigate only to get cloned themselves.
Title Meaning: Hmm not sure but I will guess. Crew get cloned but for evil.. good people have a heart, not in the literal sense as everyone does, so the slightly evil people just have half. Ok, I suck at this sometimes ^_^

Notes
+ Contrary to what the main storyline is, this episode is not a Nemesis parody or wasn't inspired by it. Marill and Raichu did make up the episode idea before the gang knew what Nemesis was about.
+ However the original version of this episode was inspired by the first Pokémon movie, but this version is a lot different.
+ This is the last episode with Voyager and the Enterprise in the Delta Quadrant.
+ We find out that Yasmin wasn't the first clone Damien created, a one that was an exact copy of James was the first.
+ We find out that Damien's spirit jumped to his next host on another ship (probably a Listonian ship) just when Seventh Voyager was destroyed.
+ The first clone who is suppose to be an exact copy of James differs from the original straight away as he is naturally evil and very bitter. His creators did want to kill him after all.
+ Obviously when Damien took James' DNA in F9: Control Failure he took Emma's too, as the James clone decides to make himself a companion. That hypospray Damien used to torture both of them obviously must of left tiny samples of DNA on them. Damien must of transferred the DNA information to the other ship just in case something happened to Seventh Voyager.
+ James' clone would gain the Slayer strength if he killed the original. Also somehow the clone has gained his original's past lives warlock powers, but seems to be too new to them to use them.
+ Damien erased his memory of his failure with the first clone.
+ James' clone (aka Richard but prefers to be called Ric) clones the awayteam and sends the cloned versions (and goes himself) to the fleet to get more crewmembers.
+ James can now go evil intentionally as long as he's mad/annoyed enough, turn back just as easily, and use it as an advantage. Nifty ^_^
+ All the clones die in the end all thanks to Daniel.
+ Emma has supposably given up alcohol, good for her ^_^

Movie 3: End of the Line

Episode Released: 29th July 2003
Vulpix's Rating: 10/10
Guide: Voyager and the Enterprise re-enter Borg Space to find the Resistance have taken over, but are being slowly wiped out by Species 8472 and their new ally, the Softmicron. Meanwhile James has a vision of something that'll happen in the future, leading Lena to find several stowaways from the future.
Title Meaning: It's the end of the road/journey for Voyager, that's really it.

Notes
+ The Enterprise and Voyager enter Borg Space about six or seven years after Voyager first passed through it.
+ This is officially the start of the season as it introduces the alliance between the Softmicron and Species 8472.
+ The Enterprise cannot use the weapons against Species 8472, only Voyager has that capability.
+ Part Three doesn't happen technically, that is only the alternate future.
+ The Borg Resistance is still doing rather well against the Borg after Thrown Key.
+ The future crewmembers instruct the fleet to get home via a Game Cube as they know a way to get to the Softmicron homeworld.
+ Voyager manages to get in the game that takes them home, but the Enterprise misses out.
+ The Enterprise gets hit by a different Game Cube and is transported to another part of the Softmicron galaxy.
+ The original Lilly is killed when one of the Lillyia's is destroyed, the future one is the only future crewmember who keeps her temporal implant. She joins the likes of Lena and Tani who cannot be affected by time changes.

True Memories

Episode Released: 21st August 2003
Vulpix's Rating: 10/10
Guide: The Enterprise crew head to a planet to repair and get supplies, when they get there the awayteam that is sent comes back with head injuries, and no memory of how it happened. Once an investigation begins the team members start getting targeted by vampires.
Title Meaning: James tries to keep what really happened on the planet from the crew and even his awayteam, and he erases the memories of the team.

Notes
+ Amy Lee joins the main cast as Zare.
+ The original title of this episode was I Know What You Did, or something like that.. but a similar title was created for a Season Two episode so it was scrapped and renamed True Memories.
+ I Know What You Did Last Summer was the inspiration for this episode.
+ The court cases were not inspired by the Virtual Voyager seasons, the idea came to pass on it's own.
+ Janeway and the rest of the Voyager crew get arrested for the incident in the movie, but the Admirals who enforce this are brainwashed copies that Damien is bossing around.
+ Both Jessie and James manage to kill a vampire by staking it with a knife. Stabbing it in the heart with something that isn't wood should only just hurt like hell, not kill it. An episode in B4FV Season Two explains that the Softmicron had a game inspired by vampire stories on Earth and several of the sprites got out with memory loss and breed. The Softmicron did get a lot of details wrong like the metal being able to kill them part.
+ The Enterprise is in a galaxy called the Jarsha Maha by the Softmicron.
+ The Games Matrix and the Games are controlled by a computer in the Softmicron homeworld, the Matrix is inside a computer and it can be slowed down time wise by the Game Cube traffic.
+ Tom's theory about Jessie's powers does seem pretty spot on to me, she managed to change James' personality just by a few wishes so she'd probably is capable of doing some nifty stuff. Problem is she is a very clumsy witch, the only spells she got right was when she was evil and/or annoyed.
+ The Cardassian government are still after James after he accidentally murdered two of the group he beat the crap out of while evil.
+ Even though James was unaware of what he was while he was a teen, the Admirals kept him covered every time he got wrong by the police for fighting vamps and other things in Manchester.
+ Even though Craig was based on Voyager he is on the Enterprise now, he claims that his future self creeped him out.
+ I find it quite weird that Lena is afraid of dead people, she's a Chosen and since vampires are linked to Softmicron/Game Cubes she has to fight them. Whoever thought that choosing her was a great idea must need their head examined.
+ Some people liked to point out that Jessie has gone soft in recent years, those people should read episodes like this and Dark Mirror. I think if James and Jessie had a fight while they were both evil, she'd win easily. Think about it, they're both very strong but she has the powers, he has telekinesis I guess but Jessie can turn people inside out ^_^
+ James still has Mr Pointy (his favourite knife) from B4FV Season Two.
+ Duncan acts like he can't stand Sasha all the time but he does protect her so he does care about her.
+ Not really an important note but Sasha is so god damn adorable ^_^

Flesh Eaters

Episode Re-Released: 12th January 2004
Vulpix's Rating: 10/10
Guide: The Enterprise gets a little closer to home by jumping onto a Game Cube, but they end up crashed on an uninhabited moon with an uninvited guest. Meanwhile Chakotay discovers that Damien is the cause of the trial.
Title Meaning: The villain "eats" flesh, yeesh.

Notes
+ This episode was written out twice, the original never made it onto the net as it was a corrupted file.
+ The villain of the episode isn't really that bad, he's one of those misunderstood villains. Gotta love those.
+ Games Watchers can sense when a Game is coming outside of the Games Matrix too.
+ B4FV Season Two episodes Lately and Sweet Sensation are mentioned.
+ Both Craig and James are put in charge of Security on the Enterprise.
+ In the timeline where Jessie remained dead, Duncan and Sasha were chosen to protect Voyager and the Enterprise as James was killed too, plus the spell to protect the ships wasn't around so there were demons attacking all the time. Because Jessie was brought back the spell was completed so demons were blocked out, James didn't die either so they weren't chosen in this reality.

Body Swap

Episode Released: 4th October 2003
Vulpix's Rating: 9/10
Guide: An awayteam investigate an abandoned alien ship, Bryan 'accidentally' plays with one of the ship's stations and end's up making James and Craig swap bodies. While the crew try to figure out how to put them back, problems arise as demons board the ship.
Title Meaning: I can't believe you keep looking here for the obvious ones, two people swap bodies ^_^

Notes
+ This episode was inspired by the Red Dwarf episode with the same name.
+ Craig plans to propose to Lena, but he never does.
+ The whole body swap was intentional, Wesley wanted to test James to see if he would be a decent Slayer without his strength.
+ Lena shows she does like Craig in a non friend way as she doesn't care that he's in her brother's body, but it may just mean that she still has a thing for her brother instead. Personally I'd rather it was Craig she liked.
+ Craig breaks up with Lena as he thinks she still likes James, even though they're related.
+ Jessie is a little uncomfortable with the James being in Craig idea, she doesn't do what Lena did but she just touches James' hand, but technically it's Craig's at the time. What do you think, does Lena care about Craig more than Jessie does about James or do you just think Lena has a thing for James still and found Craig being in his body a good opportunity. I can't answer this, I'll leave it to you. This episode raises too many unanswered questions..
+ James opens up to Wesley saying that all he wanted for a normal life, if he stayed in Craig he'd probably would of had that.
+ Jessie abandons Wesley on the alien ship, no one really seems to find out until a later episode.

The Rites of the Crypt

Episode Released: 18th October 2003
Vulpix's Rating: 10/10
Guide: While an awayteam are on the surface of a planet one of their crypts are raided, another team from the Enterprise is sent to investigate. On their return the second team's members become victim to a strange alien ritual that can bring somebody back to life.
Title Meaning: There's rites in every crypt on this alien homeworld, that's really it.

Notes
+ This being a totally original episode with no outside influence just makes this episode more amazing than it is. This is the best episode of the season so far.
+ Since Wesley is gone Daniel is left to train a new class with Faye, James and Lena in it. What's it called, Telepathic Anonymous?
+ James is actually annoyed with Lena that she kissed Craig while he was in him.
+ Lena continues to confuse everyone by claiming that she never had a crush on Craig, in the same scene where she says she just kissed Craig without caring who he was in at the time. Come on girl, make up your mind.
+ In older episode James had a habit of coming up to people while they were talking about him, and scaring them in the process. He does this to Tom after a long time of not doing that..
+ It's taken Fifth Voyager three years to get a character to say "what's up doc?" Weird.
+ James is the main suspect for the events in the episode, even though the real culprit has the word evil in his name ^_^
+ Claire's body is regenerated but with a different spirit inside her.
+ Claire was actually killed not long after the events in Put The Knife In.
+ Bryan likes Linkin Park music.
+ Tom likes Will Young music.
+ When Evil C finds out that his attempt to revive Claire seriously harmed Faye he reverses it.
+ Zare obviously isn't very keen on Craig, which creates further questions in later episodes.

Unleashed

Episode Released: 8th November 2003
Vulpix's Rating: 9/10
Guide: The Enterprise runs into the starship Equinox, who also got trapped because of a Game Cube. Meanwhile Kathryn and Yasmin is Voyager's only hope when the ship gets boarded by spider like creatures which have reprogrammed the computer and Doctor Jones to act psychotic.
Title Meaning: Those spider things are unleashed on Voyager.

Notes
+ Supposably Marill wanted to make the Voyager intruders very large spiders, because she figured it would help her get over her fear of them.
+ Despite breaking a lot of rules while in the Delta Quadrant, none of the Voyager crew are court martialed or locked up. That is pretty strange considering that when the Enterprise returns home James is the only one who is put on trial.
+ Voyager has to stay in Utopia Planetia to get upgraded.
+ Doctor Jones gets posted at Utopia Planetia, but stays onboard Voyager in ECH mode while a sweep (kind of like the one in TNG episode Starship Mine) goes through the ship.
+ Harry becomes first officer of the Leda B, sound familiar? Lots of people died during the original's construction. After it was completed it was haunted by a psychotic spirit who killed the crew and everyone who visited it. Those who are unfamiliar with the B4FV seasons wont know what I'm talking about though.
+ Emma, Kevin and Sandi are sent to England (the Admiral just says an island, but it's obvious which one he's talking about), to slay remaining vampires left behind from Games.
+ The Enterprise discovers the Equinox, five or so years after Voyager did in the original series. The Equinox is mostly intact as they're in another galaxy now, and obviously are not being attacked by the aliens they killed.
+ Even though Janeway and Phoebe are coffee-aholics, their mother prefers tea to coffee. Also Yasmin shows more interest in coffee than her siblings, I guess one has to get addicted right.
+ Despite living on New Earth for a while, Yasmin has a fear for bugs like James. She is his clone I guess, but it would of been ironic if killing obsessed Yasmin had a fear of dead bodies like Lena.
+ Noah becomes the new chef, neat ^_^
+ This episode shows a crewmember getting killed because of a turbolift, this seems like a regular thing now. O'Hara was killed by one in Season Three, also a crewmember called Fallmore walks through the turbolift doors when there was no lift in Lullaby.
+ The perverted monkey, well that was what James referred to it as, was named Mr Goful by Yasmin. How cute ^_^
+ The Enterprise crew discover the science lab on the Equinox filled with radiation, but we don't hear anything more about this for another couple of episodes.

Sibling Rivalry

Episode Re-Released: 23rd January 2004
Vulpix's Rating: 8/10
Guide: Sandi and Kevin are sent on their first mission, to deal with the vampire problem on a Starfleet colony. On board the Enterprise, Zare is depressed and angry since it's her dead brother's birthday. Because of her condition she loses control of herself, and decides to make her and her brother the Chosens by erasing Lena from the timeline.
Title Meaning: Two storylines that involve the Chosens. Sandi and Kevin are sent to deal with a vampire problem. Lena comes in danger of a depressed Zare on the anniversary of her brothers death. Chosens are always siblings, that's the point of the title.

Notes
+ This episode was originally suppose to be based after the episode Lullaby. Lullaby's subplot was Kes returning with a warning similar to Daniel's basic vision, so it would of been silly to have Daniel warning them after Kes had explained everything better.
+ Also this episode was re-written as the first version didn't meet Marill's expectations.
+ Zare turns evil briefly even though she has been training for eight years, I guess that's why it was brief. Her evil experience does seem very similar to James' but obviously a lot shorter.
+ Zare does appear as a special guest star in B4FV Season Three's premiere that'll be released in June. This will hopefully answer a lot of questions that need answering. In Broken Wreck she wasn't angry or evil yet she was still put in extra training, in Season Three somebody mentions that she was put in a nut house.. that's something entirely different. Something has to happen in the B4FV premiere that we don't know about that explains the evil training and why Jessie hates her so much. This episode does kind of answer the latter as James and Zare do seem pretty close, any guesses anyone?
+ In the original Voyager episode Hunters, we found out that Janeway's fiancee married someone else. This episode we find out that she is called Andrea and obviously Janeway is a bit bitter towards her. The beginning scene seems like filler but it's not as Andrea becomes a regular in this season.
+ We see that nobody was lying about Janeway hiding James from family/friends/fiancees for nearly thirty years. In two episodes now we've seen both her mother and Mark confused about Yasmin, who's only a fraction of James' age ^_^
+ Even without memories Games Watchers seem to be too interested in James' personal life. First it was Ligod who tries to interfere in B4FV Season Three (ha, a spoiler for you all ^_^), Daniel's other self (Ronnie) got a bit nosey in Season Two, then Wesley tried to lay a guilt trip on him for having kids, and finally in this episode Daniel acts very Tom like, with a hint of Danny.
+ Just for the hardcore Buffy/Spike shippers there is a reference/hint in this episode. James tells Daniel (James Marsters/Spike) to get a girlfriend, he makes up a name to make it seem like he does, that name is Naomi (Sarah M Gellar/Buffy). See a later episode for another reference ^_^
+ According to Sandi, Kevin isn't very strong for a Chosen and he needs lots of experience/training. That may explain a few things in Season Three.
+ Zare continues to show how not keen she is on Craig, but then again she was bitter to everyone she talked to in this episode.
+ Sandi was attacked by the telepathic goons when she was younger (Resolutions Saga) just like James was, as Earth is too far away for the Masters to get to. It's funny, the oldest out of the Chosens were attacked but the youngest (Kevin & Lena) haven't mentioned it or anything. Lena was on an advanced Borg Sphere so that explains why she wasn't I suppose, but Kevin was probably with Sandi. Why didn't they just try and get him while they were trying to kill off Sandi?
+ Zare sneaks into Sickbay before confronting Lena with the device that nearly kills her, what was she doing?
+ Zare tries to erase Lena from the timeline because she thinks she and Rean are the rightful Chosens, she's not wrong (see Lullaby).
+ Jessie is pregnant again. This one is her fourth pregnancy in the series, not bad for a girl who has been stabbed twice during two different pregnancies, and died during one. Also wasn't she told by the doc that she had less chance of getting pregnant than a normal girl?

Lullaby

Episode Released: 11th December 2003
Vulpix's Rating: 10/10
Guide: Kes returns just when the Enterprise is attacked by the new Borg Queen, but she has some bad news that comes with some grisly information absolutely free. Meanwhile Kiara goes into another coma, and she finds herself in another reality where both ships got home before they reached New Earth again.
Title Meaning: A lullaby is something parents sing to get their kids to sleep, most of this episode is a dream so it seemed appropriate.

Notes
+ This episode required a recap of all the seasons, it's one hell of a read let me tell you.
+ Kes makes a welcome return to the series, but she obviously leaves at the end.
+ Kes gives a more detailed warning about James and Lena being in danger, somebody plans to revert the timeline back to the way it was originally. Kes explains that she is the reason why the Q's had to fix the timeline, of course Kiara's dad gave a helping hand. The new news is originally Lena was never born, as a result James was just a Natural and was killed on New Earth, Zare and Rean were Chosen but were killed in Broken Wreck. Obviously the three out of four Slayers are better off in this reality ^_^
+ When Tom is trying to make sense of Kes' news, he describes the original timeline to be similar to the one in Precise Timings. That timeline was induced because Lena, Tani, Kiara and Bryan's appeared before the second mission to New Earth, so nobody got trapped on the planet and Janeway & Chakotay didn't get together. Obviously Lena didn't exist in that one either, so it's a wonder James is alive still, hmm. Maybe Kes showed Lena a partially false timeline as she didn't want Lena to know.
+ Kiara dreams of an alternate reality where Voyager and the Enterprise got home before they reached New Earth again. In this one Lena is in the Academy, Picard has control of the Enterprise again, James still turned evil but because Jessie's body is still in the Delta Quadrant she wasn't revived so after a year or so he still is. Kiara only realises it isn't real because Yasmin was around.
+ Marill changed the dialogue between Kiara and Lena near the end so it explained why Kiara knew her dream from reality, while hinting at the extra Yasmin in the series.
+ Damien's new host is now the Yasmin he created to spy on the Enterprise, this is his first female host.
+ After about two/three years we finally meet a new Borg Queen.
+ Speaking of the Borg, I do know why we don't see that much Borg anymore and why the series concentrates more on non-Voyager villains like Damien and Softmicron. There are two reasons actually, one is that ST Voyager totally killed off the Borg threat by overusing them, hence the reason why the Queen was wrote stupidly in the early days. The other reason is that Marill wanted Fifth Voyager to be different to original Voyager (or Third Voyager ^_^) after Season Two began, that's why more storylines with Slayers and other stuff were more deeply explored AND why there is really no original episode parodies in Season Two and Three (YWF and Bittersweet are the closest to parodies in these seasons).

Blind Eye

Episode Released: 23rd January 2004
Vulpix's Rating: 9/10
Guide: Security investigate when the Conference Room is blown up before a meeting, completely oblivious of the fact that Damien has a host on board. It's the least of their worries when another murder takes priority. Meanwhile in the Alpha Quadrant, Voyager prepares to leave Dry Dock with the new Leda and Kathryn battles with her new first officer.
Title Meaning: Unknown, I highly doubt the reason is the poor one Triah or someone else mentioned near the end ^_^

Notes
+ Before this episode was written Marill found a guide to the Enterprise which told her what rooms it has, and where they all are. This Enterprise has a Ten Forward just like the previous one, plus it has a Mess Hall. The Sickbay in First Contact (Deck 16 one) was only the secondary one so she had to explain why the main one is never used. James explains to Lena about Security being on two decks, that one is the weirdest I have to admit.
+ Damien tries to cause chaos on the Enterprise by destroying the Conference Room, he obviously wanted people to be in it at the time.
+ Also Damien is referred to as Yasmin still for some reason.
+ Voyager's upgrade is delayed so it can help get the Enterprise home. Janeway, B'Elanna, Chakotay, Phoebe, Yasmin (the real one lol), Jodie and Lilly are the only ones who rejoin Voyager.
+ Chakotay seems to have been demoted to Lieutenant Commander.
+ Janeway's new first officer is her ex fiancee's wife, Andrea.
+ To Janeway's annoyance Andrea seems to be the total opposite to her as she drinks white tea and loves cats. If you remember Janeway is allergic to cats, it's probably why she loves dogs so much. I find it's funny that Janeway is allergic to cats, James just hates them as they always seem to hate him, and Lena & Yasmin probably don't even know what cats are ^_^
+ Telepathic Randy from two B4FV Season Two episodes reappears, he murders his girlfriend during a row.
+ Daniel leads the Enterprise and the Equinox to their first Game Cube spot, but it's an inhabited city which even the Equinox cannot even land in.
+ James tells Lena that Craig and Zare are now an item, when, why and how I really want to know.
+ The Leda B accompanies Voyager on the get Enterprise back mission.
+ The Captain of the Leda, Angela Turnbull, knows James somehow. I know how and what happened between them, but I'm not going to tell hehe.
+ James obviously doesn't recognise Randy, then again James barely noticed the guy.. it would be Jessie and Danny that would remember him.
+ Randy tries to frame James and then Zare, hmm he's not very smart is he? He could at least stick with James or Zare, not both.
+ When James and Zare confront Randy, he doesn't know who Zare is.. hmm he must of saw her, looked up her file, saw she's been evil once and decided to frame her too. Then again if he saw her file you'd think he'd know her name. I guess it's not that memorable is it? Of course he remembers James too well, and obviously still hates him.
+ Kiara and Lena do treat each other like sisters, not mother and daughter. The way Lena rambles on about Craig and Zare to her isn't the sort of thing a mother would talk about with her daughter ^_^

Shattered Time

Episode Released: 1st March 2004
Vulpix's Rating: 8/10
Guide: The Enterprise crew discover what the Equinox has been up to for several years, but their Captains come to an agreement instead of battling with one another. Not long later the Enterprise is hit by a gravimetric surge which splits the ship into different time periods.
Title Meaning: This is a parody of the brilliant episode Shattered, it was going to be Shattered Mirror I think but Time sounded better.

Notes
+ I think this is the first parody of an original Voyager episode in the normal seasons, since the season finale of Season One. B4FV have obviously had parodies as it's based in original Voyager's first, second and third seasons. But if you think about it the parodies seemed to end in the normal seasons once the timeline got to Season Seven time, none of us thought that was a good season with the exception of Shattered, Q2 and the Doctor/Seven body swap episode. My point is once Fifth Voyager got to it's eighth year (you know what I mean lol) there was no episodes to parody.
+ Shattered Time was in the original line up for Fifth Voyager before original Shattered was even shown in America.
+ The episode Stop or Die was started before this episode as it was originally based before this one. Marill decided to extend the Equinox storyline into more episodes. All the scenes that were written for the original Stop or Die, which was going to be a silly parody of the original Equinox episode, were moved to this episode.
+ James reports to Lena with information about the Equinox's warp drive, why would a Security Chief report something like that? Shouldn't Tom do this sort of thing?
+ Also Lena seems to have forgotten that James can hack, she seems surprised when he reminds her.
+ After the Equinox got trapped in the other galaxy they started kidnapping Softmicron for fuel.
+ Instead of confining the Equinox crew to quarters like her mother did in the original series, Lena makes a compromise so both crews can work together.
+ Jessie joins the Telepathic Anonymous class to control the evil side of her, damn it'll have to be renamed now ^_^
+ Obviously Lena and Tani are not affected by the shattered timelines because of their implants, nobody obviously needed to get injured like Chakotay did.
+ Two timelines are early Enterprise days when Picard first got command of it, and when the Borg took over.
+ Voyager's Doctor appears on the Enterprise instead of the Enterprise's first EMH, this Doctor obviously is from Season Four.. which is odd because it should be Season Three. I'll have to check what year First Contact is based in.
+ Somehow people who are meant to be on Voyager in certain timelines, but were on the Enterprise beforehand, are pulled onto the Enterprise.
+ For the first time in this series the main Sickbay is used. Don't feel too badly for us, I'm sure they use the Voyager looking secondary Sickbay in the movies all the time too.
+ I thought Tani had gotten over James but she must of thought trying to get his attention was futile because of Jessie ^_^ She chats up the single James from early Season Two, meanwhile Daniel has his memories again so he's boring old Ronnie again. Luckily it's just for one episode.
+ Thanks to a timeline based in the far future we know that James and Jessie's third kid is a girl called Sarah. It's quite weird because later the Slayers attack the drones in Engineering.. that's James, Lena, Duncan and Zare, but Sarah joins in too. Jessie later says five Slayers when there's only four known ones, interesting.
+ When the ship goes back to normal Jessie comes to Lena, she seems to remember what happened during the episode. Hmmm..

True Colours

Episode Released: 4th March 2004
Vulpix's Rating: 9/10
Guide: It's Lena's twentieth birthday and she's not happy about leaving her teens, but that's the least of her worries when the Mess Hall explodes on it's own. The crew immediately turn to their suspect, Yasmin but James gets a visit from Q who explains that Kiara's causing it.
Title Meaning: True colours means true self, Kiara changes more into a Q in this episode so there you go.

Notes
+ Ex FV writer Firera co-writes this episode with Marill. She does extremely well considering that she hasn't written any Fifth Voyager since the episode Akoonah Matata, which was written late 2002.
+ Lena finally reaches age twenty and is obviously depressed because of it, I know how she feels ^_^
+ Craig finally finds out that Yasmin/Damien was responsible for the Conference Room explosion, he reports to Tom about it.
+ The bridge crew figure out that the Yasmin on their ship is another copy, but they haven't figured out it's Damien yet.
+ Kiara is the first hybrid of a Q, so a problem with her Q side had to come up sooner than later. She starts getting extra powers that she didn't have before but she's unaware of it. Also emotional outbursts trigger different kind of powers accidentally.
+ Q has obviously found a new person to torment and that's James in this episode.
+ James claims that he and Jessie are normal when it comes to um.. what he calls "that kind of thing", gee that's something we have all wanted to know since the Resolutions Saga and of course the infamous episode Put The Knife In ^_^
+ Kiara gets very upset when Naomi dies for a little while, they have been friends since they were little, sometimes it seems like the other writers forget that.
+ The rumours were true, this is Kiara's last episode for a while. She leaves to train with Q. The scene where she decides to leave is very well written, and it's convincing. Both Marill and Firera told me that scene was a little hard to write, not because they were stuck with what to write but because it was a little upsetting to have Kiara leave. Kiara has been in the series since the beginning and long before then, she was an original castmember for the fanfic series' before Fifth Voyager was even around and she was even in Marill's Kidz Trek series. No offense to anyone concerned but you'd have to be made of stone or just haven't read enough episodes with Kiara in to not actually have at least a lump in your throat while reading that scene.

Stop or Die

Episode Released: 4th March 2004
Vulpix's Rating: 10/10
Guide: Not happy with Ransom's decision to work with the Enterprise, Max tries to get his crewmates to mutiny and get away from the Enterprise. Both ships reach their next Game Cube site which has been abandoned due to a previous Game, but thanks to the Max's obsession with getting home both crews are put in danger.
Title Meaning: Basically it's a message for the Equinox crew; stop what you're doing or get murdered ^_^

Notes
+ This is the last episode with the Enterprise EMH, Freddie. Shame I liked him ^_^
+ The original idea for this episode was to be a proper parody of Equinox but with different characters, with different responses, lines etc.. Thanks to a play for an old B4FV Season Three episode done by Marill and Togepi, the episode changed drastically, for the best too. If you're wondering that B4FV episode was called Corporal Form but I don't remember seeing it in any season listings.
+ Since Togepi came up with a lot of ideas during the play, and she inspired Marill to upgrade this episode, her name appeared on the writing credits.
+ Once again Daniel leads the Enterprise and the Equinox to a Game Cube site that is in the middle of a city.
+ Jessie gets phaser firing withdrawal symptoms supposably, when it gets bad she throws tricorders at Tom. Didn't she do that long before she was assigned to Tactical? ^_^
+ We already know that Noah's cooking specialities are fruit drinks, now we know that he fries almost anything and makes broth. I hope he didn't get cooking tips for the last one from Marill's parents ^_^ Now do you know why Marill inspired character Faye said she hated broth? Well at least Faye is a little more vocal about it ^_^
+ This episode goes back to the series' roots in several scenes, one example is when Jessie goes to beat up Tom the first time in the episode (mood swings again lol) James holds her back and says something like "wait, why am I holding you back" and lets go. He and Lena had to hold her back in Dark Frontier but he lets go and Jessie gets free to beat up Tom.. I'm pretty sure he says a similar line to the one in this episode but it's not in Dark Frontier. Odd.
+ Marla is the newest entry to the list of girls who've had a thing for James. The list probably has more girls on it than the amount of members who drool over the new Joseph pictures on the Ultimate Pop Network forums. If you're wondering James' actor is the new Joseph in the Technicolour Dreamcoat musical ^_^ Gee male Slayers seem to be very attractive to girls, remember what Kevin was like when he chatted up nearly every FV girl.
+ One of the best bunch of quotes I've ever read have been added to the Quotes page.. Remember when James used to get very mad when he was called gay, and both he and Jessie would get embarrassed whenever somebody mentioned their relationship? Go to the quotes and you'll see why I think these lines are just priceless. Just when you think those fights between Tom and James/Jessie were long over we get another classic scene(s) ^_^
+ The Enterprise must have 'fire at Will Riker' written on it as it has a lot of bad luck just like in the movies. First Contact it was partially assimilated, Insurrection it had it's a** kicked and had to eject it's core to win, Nemesis it crashed into another ship, and now I'm sure in Fifth Voyager it has crashed twice.
+ Marill obviously got tired of calling unknown crewmembers stupid names or just unknown crewmember 1, the Equinox ones are called unknown peep 1 etc. Cute.
+ Lena's obviously taking Kiara's departure very badly, as soon as Max fires the first shot at the Enterprise she doesn't care that her actions could kill everyone on the Equinox. Nobody should call her cutey after firing on her ship ^_^
+ James and Lena's fight scenes this season have been great, who knew that a fight in FV could so much fun to read. Everyone knows that Lena is probably the strongest out of the two as she's won most fights between them, this must be James' second win ~_^ Anyway Marill must be getting the hang of writing fight scenes ^_^
+ Lena gives up her command to Tom. This is the last episode you see her in command of the Enterprise until a late Season Four episode.
+ Damien wanted to take command of the Equinox, but Max just makes him first officer.
+ Gilmore and Ransom are murdered by the villain of the episode.
+ Lena tries to get over Kiara by getting drunk, I totally forgot how much I love Lena drunk ^_^
+ Jessie and Faye get possessed by two dead Softmicron children, who were murdered by the Equinox crew. Young Softmicron are easier to capture than adult ones. The round device was used to capture them as it weakens them.

Epilogue

Episode Released: 25th March 2004
Vulpix's Rating: 7/10
Guide: The Enterprise enters orbit around the next game site which turns out to be a planet taken over by a Game Sphere. Another ship is in orbit which has Wesley and other not liked watcher, Ligod, onboard. While the Enterprise crew help the other ship save the planet, Q gets Voyager and the fleet to babysit his son in exchange for getting the Enterprise home.
Title Meaning: Epilogue means the final chapter, at least I think it does as in books, in the last chapter it never says Chapter ?? it says Epilogue. Obviously this episode marks the end of the entire crew's journey to the Alpha Quadrant.

Notes
+ This episode also contains scenes from the cut episode Queuing Forever. That episode was deleted to make room for episodes that needed to cover other important plot developments for the season.
+ Naomi is now a waitress in the new Mess Hall, well she isn't really the kind of girl who works in Security anyway.
+ Lena thinks that Daniel has a crush on Jessie, but he actually has a crush on Lena.
+ We now know that Jessie's five months pregnant, this episode is based in late February so she probably got pregnant early Season Four.. either True Memories or Flesh Eaters time.
+ Obviously Lena and Naomi both like Daniel, then again Naomi likes a lot of guys. Her latest obsession is the absent Kevin.
+ Voyager and the Leda meet up with the Lillyia. Lilly's brother knows she's alive but he failed to tell her ex-boyfriend who was very annoyed when the other Lilly was killed.
+ Jodie now works at opps.. Voyager must have ran out of unknown crewmembers.
+ After Jessie left him on an alien ship, Wesley joined a ship with another watcher.. good old Ligod from the B4FV seasons. Also onboard that ship are three Trainee Slayers.
+ The Games Spheres have changed after The Slayers, now they take over a planet and the inhabitance have no idea they're in a game as it mimics the planet's conditions. The only thing that's different is an extra building, which they don't actually notice is new. Once that's destroyed the game will leave. The game will destroy the planet if it exhausts all power, in other words kill everyone on the planet by draining life from them.
+ Also holograms of people can be transported into the game so they can get out as well as in. Problem is if the hologram is destroyed so is the real person.
+ Jessie mentions the incident in Broken Wreck to explain why Ligod's a bad watcher, Marill intentionally wrote that part of the scene so it doesn't give away Ligod's actions in the B4FV Season Three premiere.
+ The Cardassians actually are still after James for the murder he committed in 2369, the fake Admirals said it so it might not have been true.
+ Emma and Lilly join the Leda crew.
+ Voyager and the Leda have to babysit Q's son while he trains Kiara, and tries to get the Enterprise home as payment. Q's son supposably has a crush on Kiara, how cute..
+ Q Junior keeps himself entertained by messing with Harry as he's already paranoid about the Leda. First he makes it look like the gory slashing incident that James witnessed in Outside of Time, is about to happen again. Second he makes him think that the food is all poisoned.
+ We've been spelling Astrometrics with a X unintentionally for ages, now there's a little joke about it to 'explain' why.
+ The scene with the wormhole was mixed in with the original scene where Tom wants to leave the planet to pick up supplies, you know while they wait for the game to end. As you can see that scene is a bit different.
+ Q Junior's crush on Kiara doesn't seem to last long, he ends up getting a crush on Lilly and Emma instead.
+ Lena and James escape the source of the game by going through a window, in a sky scraper building.. luckily they were on a low floor. This is the second time somebody has escaped a building by pushing James through the window, to avoid breaking it themselves ^_^
+ The plot for Queuing Forever had the Enterprise returning home just by a click of a finger cos Q tried everything he could think of, but stuff kept going wrong. The episode is pretty long thanks to the Epilogue storyline (believe it or not, some original scenes were deleted to make room for the Queuing Forever scenes) so Marill obviously thought the best and quickest way to get them home was to use the game.
+ The Enterprise finally returns to the Alpha Quadrant via the sphere, but with Q's help as using the sphere for transportation is far beyond their comprehension.
+ The Pegasus gets through Q's wormhole, I guess we've not seen the last of them ^_^

The Dark Page of the Book

Episode Released: 11th April 2004
Vulpix's Rating: 10/10
Guide: Not long after the Enterprise reaches Federation space the Cardassians attack just so they can get James. The fleet fend them off and escorts the ship back to Earth, where officers arrest him instead. As he's put on trial for murder of two Cardassians in his youth, several members of the crew try to prove it was an accident.
Title Meaning: James gets tried (did I spell that right ^_^) for the incident right before Voyager got trapped, where he committed murder for the first time. The book in question is probably his life so far, and an incident like that would be considered a bad chapter, but considering how quickly it happened I'd say it would of just been a page. Hence the dark page.

Notes
+ This episode is kind of a clip show.. you know like Test of Time, except there is more present day scenes/storylines.
+ According to Marill's 'please note' all but one of the clips are brand new, and one of them is one of the cut scenes from Up in Smoke.
+ Harry gets command of the Leda, while Angela takes command of the Enterprise.
+ Danny and Ian have moved to Newcastle, they both own a club there.
+ Chakotay's sister is called Taiya.. that's Lena's middle name.
+ Chakotay chooses to defend James in the trial.
+ Admiral Paris ordered Angela and Andrea to reason with the Cardassians whenever they got the chance, and arrest James. He didn't even tell any of the ex-Voyager crew about this, the cheek of it.
+ Lena sees Craig and Zare kiss so she accepts Daniel's offer of a date. They even go for a coffee.. my god to her mother that's probably more serious than moving in with him ^_^
+ Since the Enterprise is getting a new crew most of the old crewmembers have to leave as soon as they reach Earth.
+ Janeway offers her family home to Jessie and the kids as they have nowhere to go.
+ Janeway's dad seems to be the only one who knew about James before she even 'abandoned him', obviously excluding her cousin and the Taylor family.
+ James made several comments in Season Three about him probably being afraid of Janeway when he was little, somebody even suggested that she was the reason his first word was bitch. The first flashback in this episode clearly shows that before Janeway left, James adored her.. bless.
+ Janeway still hasn't told her mother about James, she told her that Yasmin was a clone of Lena so she could avoid the subject. Jessie knows this and she does tell him about it later, cue arguing. Whatever happened to the cuteness ^_^
+ James' stepmum had her throat slit, I don't think that was ever mentioned previously. In one of his dreams in the prequel seasons she speaks to him with one I guess.
+ The Cardassian that James had a fight with ten years ago goes over the top in trying to make himself innocent, which later we know for sure he is ¬_¬ If he is innocent why was he acting like that?
+ Thanks to the episode The Moving Shadow we know that James drunkenly tried to rape Jessie seven years ago.. and Tom claims he didn't even know about it. My god, what's wrong with him?
+ Kevin tries to chat up Nikki but she instead asks him out. So much for her thinking he looked dorky and is a lanky bit of bones ^_^ I guess it could of been a sneaky way of throwing Naomi off when they got home.
+ James was a little shy when he was four.. hmm James, shy.. hahahahaha.. Jessie who are you trying to fool? Ok I'll admit in Test of Time he did seem a bit shy towards her, but after he started talking to her he wasn't.
+ Naomi also asks Kevin out, this storyline will obviously continue in The Web of Deceit. The old synopsis only told you Nikki was one of the girlfriends, it never mentioned who the other one was, now we know.
+ We are even more prepared for Web of Deceit than you think.. the next scene has James using instant messenger to talk to Jessie in a flashback. The internet's still around obviously, remember that ^_^
+ The Cardassians don't believe in Game Cubes and Slayers, interesting.
+ In a B4FV Season Two flashback we get a hint that when Harry was sleepwalking he ended up lying next to James on the floor in the morning. I really have to see that ^_^
+ Surprisingly Daniel (aka Ronnie back then) was the one responsible for Susy's murder.
+ Ronnie and Ligod both wanted James to turn evil as part of an experiment, the plan was to avoid training him so he wouldn't be able to control that side of him, and then they had to kill someone he cared about. That would explain scenes in episodes Second Chance and Games Resistance. In Second Chance Ronnie tried to put Wesley off going to James to train him, oh and he knew that Slayer that turned evil on the sphere Lena & Tani were on, coincidence? Anyway In Games Resistance Ronnie was easily persuaded by Lena and James not to train them in the Games Matrix. Obviously Ligod and Ronnie worked separately as Ligod didn't pretend to not know who and what James was before he met him, and Ronnie did. As you were ^_^

This Just In

Episode Released: 27th April 2004
Vulpix's Rating: 8/10
Guide: Because of James' trial several missions were exposed, so the Federation order reporters to interview every crewmember. Meanwhile Janeway ruins her new relationship with James.
Title Meaning: Isn't "this just in" a news/newspaper slogan, possibly in a country other than the UK.. I'm not a news person after all. If it isn't then I don't know.

Notes
+ Admiral Paris decides to research Voyager's journey by sending only two reporters. After they get knocked out by hormonal Jessie he doesn't bother sending anymore.
+ The new senior staff for each ship for the rest of the season has been sorted out. On Voyager there are three in charge; Janeway, Andrea and Chakotay. The rest of the bridge is manned by Bryan (helm), Jodie (opps) and Emma (tactical). B'Elanna is in charge of Engineering still. The Enterprise E is commanded by Tom and Angela. The bridge crew include Triah (opps), Faye (tactical) and sometimes Noah (helm). Dr Jones is back in Sickbay but on the Enterprise mainly, and Tani is still in charge of Engineering. The Leda B, which is a fine addition to the gang ^_^ , is commanded by paranoid Harry and ex Captain and next heir to the Liger throne, Lilly. The bridge crew include Lee (tactical), Naomi (helm) and Evil C (opps). Nikki runs it's Sickbay when Dr Jones is not around, and Annika has Engineering.. Well Harry is right, the Leda B is a potential death trap like it's ancestor ^_^ Also it looks like Craig is Chief of Security of the whole fleet, oh dear how will he manage without James ^_^ Also Foster and Zare remain in Security also. The rest of the cast are on Earth, some do come back to the ships in other episodes like Jessie does in this one.
+ Even though Duncan is nearly three years old he was allowed to start school on Earth. He does look like an eight year old, and he's been taught since he was very young, it would be cruel to make him start normally when he was four.
+ Lena announces that she's moving to New Manchester so she can fight the vampire problem in Old Manchester.
+ James and Janeway sort of bond on the way to Indiana.. it is a very cute scene courtesy of Marill ^_^ She mentioned that she made up the Metro Land story while trying to sleep one night and decided to use it. I still say we should of had a flashback ^_^
+ Voyager's Chief Medical Officer is a quarter Klingon girl called Zoe, looks like Bryan is a bit interested in her.. cute.
+ Naomi finally meets her dad on the Leda, I really don't like him ~_^
+ The nebula that's really an artificial plasma storm from Memories and it's replacement when it was in Season Two, Saturday Night, makes a return. We don't see what happens though, just like with Saturday Night.
+ Janeway and James' new relationship does not last long. Whilst trying to convince her own mother to stop being rude to him, she starts going on about how he'll never forgive her for leaving him as a child and that he overreacts over everything. James overhears some of it and of course they argue, shame.

Connection Effects

Episode Released: 27th April 2004
Vulpix's Rating: 8/10
Guide: Faye and Triah are captured by the Cardassians and are experimented on. The fleet get them back easily but they are now connected telepathically. Faye accidentally tells somebody about one of Triah's secret and when Craig finds out, all hell breaks loose. Meanwhile James discovers what his punishment is, helping a team clear up ruins around Game Cube sites.
Title Meaning: Triah and Faye get connected telepathically briefly, Faye blabs something Triah thought and there's effects. I hope we're clear on this. Also if you see one of the notes there's another reason for the title.

Notes
+ Only I have the longer, original version of this episode and I'm too mean to give it out ^_^
+ This episode was going to be a two parter a long time ago. The first part was going to be called Connection (I think) and the second part was going to be called Side Effects.
+ Damien now uses Beyonce Knowles from Destiny's Child as a host, poor poor Damien.
+ Oh have I ever mentioned how cute I think Sasha is ^_^
+ James has to work in England while still living in Indiana.. that means he has to get up at 2am for it. Of course being a Slayer he wont be used to going to sleep early so that's going to kill him eventually ^_^
+ One of the guys from the gang that beat up James, leading to the meeting of Angela btw, back when he was at comprehensive school works with James now. Funnily enough he's the first one he really gets along with ^_^ The guy, Stephen, also dated Danny for a brief period.
+ Triah is pregnant with her first child, which is a boy.. he will make his appearance in Happy Ever After. Nobody knows who the father is yet but Craig so far has Harry and Lee on his suspects list.
+ I'm sure Johnathan (Tom and B'Elanna's rumour loving son) has his first speaking lines since my episode Baby Don't Swear in Season Three.. how odd, he's a loveable little thing ^_^
+ When Jessie turned back to normal after her second evil experience (and probably the first too) the crew celebrated. Any excuse for a party ey? The third anniversary of the second party nearly had the Enterprise flying right into a sun.

The Web of Deceit

Episode Released: 24th May 2004
Vulpix's Rating: 9/10
Guide: Kevin starts dating both Nikki and Naomi at the same time, the two girls both find out and dump him. Naomi goes on as normal, but Nikki is very hurt and decides to get her own back on him by trying out a chat room. Of course who she meets there turns out to be somebody entirely different.
Title Meaning: The web part is the "internet" part of it, duh.. and Nikki is deceived so..

Notes
+ Damien gets another new host, the swearing loving Eamon. If you're wondering Eamon is that twat who "sings" that song called F*** It (I Don't Want You Back).. and of course Frankee the "ex girlfriend" is around too. She only lasts one episode thankfully. Marill claims she couldn't wait until B4FV Season Three to make fun of them ^_^
+ For one episode only the swear words are censored with cute words ^_^
+ Lena and Sandi now live in the same flat in New Manchester, Kevin lives opposite. There was going to a Friends skit bit before that scene.. like a skit of the credits clips but Marill decided against it. Instead she just decided to have Kevin living opposite and give a Friends feel for a laugh. You get what I mean, Kevin is kind of like Joey.
+ Damien and co weren't originally going to appear after Connection Effects considering that the rest of the season had enough villains. There was something missing from this episode and future episode Tough Love, so they were added to the cast for those two episodes.
+ Daniel is the third suspect, you know for being Triah's baby's dad. He is high favourite of the three to 'win'. He is with me, he and Lena probably wont last long then. Then again Lena has a kid with another guy, oh damn..
+ Chakotay and Janeway get back together. Also Chakotay doesn't seem put off by the coffee obsession anymore.
+ Despite what I heard neither Naomi or Nikki get together properly with Kevin.. maybe that's another episode.

Decent Proposal

Episode Released: 1st June 2004
Vulpix's Rating: 10/10
Guide: Admiral Paris decides to let Lena command the Enterprise just for one mission to see how she gets on, but Craig picks the wrong moment for something and it distracts her. Meanwhile it's visitor time on Voyager and Janeway receives two guests who don't get on at all.
Title Meaning: Ironic/sarcastic title alert. Craig proposes, so does Chakotay.. there you go.

Notes
+ James and Jessie's foster mother is named after Marill.. probably cos she does have one thing in common with her. Luckily their opinion of James and Jessie's relationship isn't something they share ^_^
+ Craig and Zare split up.
+ Craig later tells Lena how he feels about her (again) and proposes to her. As he made such an effort she tells him she'll think about it just to get away from him.
+ Lena chooses the mission that has the Enterprise break away from Voyager, and Craig, the quickest. She fails the test.
+ James and Janeway start getting along properly, lets see how many episodes this relationship lasts.
+ Lena leaves Craig heartbroken when she gets back to him. In one episode he looses Zare and Lena, gee that's rough.
+ It isn't all bad as Chakotay proposes to Janeway, she says yes despite the advice she gets off James in an earlier scene.

Sundown

Episode Released: 5th June 2004
Vulpix's Rating: 9/10
Guide: The Stuarts leave America, and all move in with James/Jessie's old foster mum (whom Jessie really hates) so James is closer to where he has to work, and doesn't have to give up sleeping to get there. This doesn't help as James has the time to go to Manchester and help the Slayers fight the vampires who've taken over the place. While he's there he finds his step dad, who he thought was dead.
Title Meaning: Vampires can't go out until sundown, that's really it. Also Sandi mentions that they leave for old Manchester at sundown.

Notes
+ This episode was re-written as Decent Proposal was based after it originally. Some old scenes have been used in the new version but it's basically all new material. Marill also felt that some scenes weren't written to the best of her ability, the first two scenes and the reunion scene are completely different to the originals. Also extra scenes with Duncan were added to the plot.. in a way they were important and Marill thought him looking older than he was needed more coverage. Duncan does have some rough times ahead of him because of his condition.. unless Jessie learns how to fix it in the future. Speaking of Duncan, he should have his own series ^_^
+ This episode is based a day after the end of Decent Proposal.
+ Jessie and Jodie's dad, Richard, appears after being missing since Holy Matrimony. He was on Voyager when it got home, that may explain it.
+ This is the first season to have notes in the guide so I'll put it here. Marill chose the schools she went to for James and Jessie, first there's Shield Row Primary and Infant School (which Duncan goes to also), and Tanfield Lea Comprehensive. Shield Row is the village where the two of them were born and raised, Tanfield Lee is the nearby village, both surround the town Stanley (which is probably a town still in the future considering how big a dump it is ^_^), it's town centre is on top of a hill, and is surrounded by hills and more hills.
+ For this episode we have a new addition which is the village of Tantobie which is on one of the hills quite far away from the places I mentioned. Marill decided to use places that were familiar to her as Game sites so it would be easier to describe the damage. The square shaped hole the Games always leave in particular was planned out first. The Games always go to the lowest land level so once it loses and leaves it leaves behind a very deep hole since it landed on at least one hill. I know you probably think it's grisly of her but it does make sense, I myself wrote about the disaster in Newcastle in the finale.. I know that place well so it was easier for me ^_^
+ More information on this stuff will be in the finale, special and Closing of the Eyes notes when they're released ^_^
+ The Game I mentioned landed at the same time as James' trip to Voyager, and of course Lena's trip to the Enterprise. Convenient, no?
+ On the same day the Stuarts move to England James is off to Manchester to help out. Since when was he the kind of guy who put Slayer duties before Jessie? You can tell already she's feeling a bit down about not seeing him much.
+ James' stepdad, John, uses their old house as a command base for his resistance. He formed that after Manchester was evacuated, Starfleet still think most of the people in it were killed in the Marquis slaughter. That explains why James thought John was dead.
+ James' co-workers Stephen, Matt, Johnny and David are also part of this ex Marquis resistance.
+ John and his last remaining workers have kept Manchester the way it is for years, so the vampires don't escape and go elsewhere. Trouble is there's only five left now.
+ John blames James for the problem in Manchester as he joined the Marquis, in other words putting his personal interests first. Of course most readers know that James wasn't aware he was a Slayer until B4FV
