What is this?
This section will be where I'll store my crossover fanfiction. Fifth Voyager is the series I write, or did, and I thought that crossing these two series' over may get me back into writing.

I have two ideas so far as to how to do this, these are them:

one
The VII story starring the Fifth Voyager characters I think suit the VII characters better instead*. This one would probably be less appealing to most FF fans, but it may be something different for any fans to read. Who knows.

As I was inspired to do the crossover because of the similarities between my couple James and Jessica in FV and Cloud and Aeris, I figured it would be a nice idea to have Cloud & Aeris meet like they do: in their childhood. Problem being there are fics already like that out there, BUT I believe more people would read about Cloud & Aeris than just the VII world & story with new characters all together.

Another idea in the works is a "proper" crossover with characters from both series' appearing in a different story, of course at the moment I'm a little rusty and I cannot think of a storyline to fit that idea. Below is the information I'm willing to give out for both story ideas, if you know me via forums you know what to do if you have an opinion ^_^

One - Who will be Who?
If you're interested in one, it's probably best to introduce the characters who will replace the beloved cast of VII, with brief info on what they are like in FV. Note that some characters will be changed as I'm not 100% sure on some.

CLOUD STRIFE: James Taylor-Stuart

James is a natural born fighter, and I mean that literally. He is of a rare breed that are born to fight monsters and protect the innocent (blah that sounds cheesy). James has had a rough upbringing and has suffered some tragedy throughout his life. He tends to hide behind his tough exterior amongst some people but deep down he's very sensitive and caring.

AERIS GAINSBOROUGH: Jessica Annet

Jessica, or Jessie as she prefers to be called is known for her bubbly nature and quirkiness. Unlike Tifa she was a best friend to James since early childhood and has generally been his emotional rock throughout his life. Most people don't understand James but she does very well, and knows how to handle his strange moods. Jessie does have magic powers which she's not used to using, and can muck them up, however she has great potential as a healer. Despite that she's not to be messed with physically and can easily beat down a man twice her height.

TIFA LOCKHEART: Danny Scott
Danny is James and Jessica's other childhood friend, who is not as close to them as they are to each other. I've chosen Danny just because she's known James since they were 10, they weren't that close, and she does have a one sided crush on him. Danny has quite the gutter mind and she wont hesitate to giggle or comment on anything she finds dirty.

SEPHIROTH: Frenit
Frenit is James' toughest enemy, and has defeated him several times, even killed him in their first encounter. This enemy is very mysterious as he's much stronger than others of his kind, he's also famous for his power. However nobody knew about what he looked like or anything as anybody who faced him were killed quickly, James was lucky to be revived to tell the tale. His later encounters with him he's only just managed to keep up with him, only once he's been close to defeating him. Also James was badly affected by his near death experience with him the first time.

BARRET WALLACE: Chakotay
Chakotay is the leader of the rebels known as the Marquis, or he is at the beginning of FV. Chakotay is very proud of his Indian routes, and has a respect for the land (despite being always in space lol). He didn't used to be in his youth, but that changed when his father died.

YUFFIE: Lena Taiya Janeway
Yes I don't know how to spell Yuffie's surname. Lena in the early days of FV was a hyperactive, talkative teen who was a little mischievous. She was going to take the place of Tifa as she and James have a sibling relationship.. well because they are estranged half brother and sister who meet when he's in his twenties and her late teens. I always thought of Tifa's behaviour to Cloud after VII itself to be that of a sister or a mum, but this is during the main game and I thought she suited Yuffie better at that age. Plus I couldn't resist the idea of a rude joke cracking Tifa ^_^

CAIT SITH: Seven of Nine
I hate Cait Sith, but not as much as I hate Seven of bloody Nine >_< That is all.

ZACK FAIR: Kevin Clarke
Kevin has the same condition as James, as in they're both physically strong and whatnot. However that's where the similarities end. Kevin is a flirt, but not a successful flirt. The Aeris/Jessie part will be handled differently because of Jessie's anti-boys personality she'll have for not meeting James as a child. She will probably be friends with him though, and not take his flirting seriously, she never takes any seriously for that matter.

CID HIGHWIND: Tom Paris
Not sure about this one, I just picked Tom because he's a pilot as well.. but he doesn't swear and smoke ^_^ The other reason for picking him is because of who I picked for one of the Presidents of Shinra.

HOJO: Ligod Geenewell
Ligod was one of the trainers for James and Kevin's kind, but like a few others he decided to experiment with James. This caused quite a lot of James' darker side episodes where he'd lose himself and just kill. I figured he was perfect for the role ^_^

SHINRA: Admiral Paris
Instead of the Shinra bosses being related, I decided to use two characters twisted fathers. The first one being Tom Paris' father, how's that for an extra storyline twist. Admiral Paris wanted his son to follow in his footsteps and kept putting him down for being different.

RUFUS SHINRA: Peter Taylor
The successor for Shinra this time is James' violent father, Peter. Now you can see that scene where Rufus and Cloud have that one-to-one fight being a tad different as James faces the father he's afraid of. Peter is a more extreme version of Admiral Paris (who is an original Voyager character, I didn't create him), he can't stand the fact that James refuses to be like him and that he was "gifted" and he wasn't.

MARLENE WALLACE: Kiara Morgan Janeway
She's just chosen cos at first she appears to be Chakotay's daughter. She really is Lena's daughter, that's a looong temporal parodox headache causing story ^_^
