31st December 2004
Ok guys, I did plan to have the last ever episode of Season Four online tonight but unless I find a device the freezes time or something, then it's not going to happen. I did have a few days off over Christmas and I'm afraid that's thrown me off. No matter what I do I keep losing concentration and enthusiasm, I can't explain why really. I feel awful as I really wanted to get Season Four done before 2005 so I can concentrate solely on B4FV. I'm still going to try to get it up asap, but I doubt it'll be tonight.

 21st December 2004
I've faced the facts at long last, I'm never going to get another ten or more episodes done before 2004 ends, so that schedule has changed to be more realistic. Piecing the three different versions of the finale together into one is taking longer than I thought, and it threw off my plans for B4FV Season Three. I did manage to get the fourth episode of that series done during a few of the finale's version of a writers block (could call it an organising and editing block), so today I have that and the second episode of the finale. Only one episode of Season Four to go. After that it's just B4FV for a while.

Last but not least, in case I don't get another update for a while, have a very Merry Christmas ^_^ Hopefully I'll get one more update in before the new year but just in case again, have a happy new year.

 4th December 2004
Hey guys. Today Fifth Voyager is four years old, from tomorrow we're onto our fifth year on the net. 2004 has been a bit of a slow year, updates wise, I must admit but I aim to make it up to you all. For the last few months I've been juggling work on the new design, two difficult episodes of Season Four, a huge "Buzz" update, the reopening of "Roses Are Red", a temp job and several writers blocks.. it's been very difficult but most of that is done and over with so no worries.

Today I did promise some new episodes but I'm afraid I could not finish any of them on time. I have finished my temp job now so I'm back to having nothing to do all day, which means I can spend most of it writing. Check out the schedule for a basic idea when to expect everything.

 1st December 2004
Hey guys, it's three days until we unleash Fifth Voyager 2005 upon you. This last few months have flew by so fast and so little work has been done during them. The 2004 period has been pretty crappy compared to previous years so please accept my apologies for it all. If it makes you feel any better I have been working my butt off the last week to get the site ready, and complete all the episodes I wanted doing before the site's birthday. Hopefully you'll be in for a real treat this Saturday, so fingers crossed.

As always you can still read the episodes while the site is closed, you can still vote for an episode, and take part in the "Yesteryear" poll. Obviously the forums will remain open for the few who use it. Any news before the 4th December will be posted here and there, so keep checking back.

Thanks for being ever so patient this year and I hope I can make it up to you in 2005.

 30th November 2004
Hey everyone, welcome to the update I promised. I fixed Closing of the Eyes early on the 28th, but I had to edit the first file to get it all up properly. I hope you enjoy the rest, there is a lot more than what was up. Next up is the finale, at long last. If it all goes well it should finish on the site's birthday at the latest.

After adding the new voting system to every episode, I noticed a few mistakes in some Season Two episodes so they've been re-uploaded. The new voting system for the whole series wasn't going to go up until the site's birthday, but there was no point in removing the coding just to correct some mistakes.

Quick reminder, the site will close temporarily on the 1st, the usual important pages like the Episode Archive will remain available.

 29th November 2004
Yes indeedy, after hours of work, well in between writing "Burnt out and Falling", I finally fixed "Closing of the Eyes". I hope you all enjoy it as it's bloody long enough, *cries* why didn't anyone tell me sooner that it was this long???

Ahem anyway..

I'll upload "Burnt out and Falling" soon, I just want to give you a little time to read "Closing of the Eyes", as you have to.. unless you really want to go through the really long season recap before hand.

 23rd November 2004
Just a quick note to say that I am running late again, I didn't give myself enough to do everything I had planned. I'm starting the finale on Friday, so expect the update I'm finishing off now to appear before then or then.

 18th November 2004
First things first. Yes I'm aware there are now three broken episode files. Unfortunately I have been sorting out my new Internet account, and I've barely been on it in the last week, so I apologise. To be honest I've been on my computer for about an hour at the most during two weeks.

Closing of the Eyes seems to be corrupted, like others. Precise Timings or Spirits started off that little curse, but I will try some of my old tricks this week. I'll let u know when it's working.

As for the two B4FV episodes, I'm not really putting them as top priority at the moment, so I'm sorry I haven't looked at them yet. If I remembered to put it in, there's a recap for The Rhythm in It's Your Duty, it should hopefully keep u going for now. Bring It On is however a basic fun ep, so it'll have to wait. Right now I'm busy with voluntary work, other issues, and trying to solve a the Pokémon game addiction, when I am on my own computer I'm working on the design for FV 2005, Roses Are Red, and building that big update for The Buzz. Most of all Burnt out and Falling.

I do have a plan for the birthday update this year, so to keep to it I made another plan to get as much done as possible this month.

 7th November 2004
Five weeks of what seemed like never ending websites work, four weeks of work experience (five more to go ^_^) and the occasional accidental sleep ins, but I finally completed (almost) everything I wanted doing after my "holiday". So today I have a special treat for you, my very, very patient visitors/readers, two brand new episodes, the B4FV Season Three premiere is now completed and there's lots of other goodies. I hope it's all worth the long wait.

Remember, I only have a month of this work experience to go, so things might continue to go slow during November. Hopefully it should pick up afterwards. This week I had trouble typing as I hurt my right hand during a "mighty" fall on the Wednesday. This is why "Burnt out and Falling" still isn't finished. I can type, it's just I make a lot more mistakes than usual, don't get why, so I have to type slow. I did get Vulpix to do a lot of the typing for "The Rhythm" so you'll find less mistakes in that than the others. Anyway B4FV Season Three will pause for a while, while I finish Season Four. I aim to have it finished in November.. if I don't then I could probably post my address on the site, so you can beat me up or something ^_^ After that, in order to get forty odd episodes released in total by the end of the year (forty two is the average amount of episodes released in a year, unless you count 2000), I'll have to post two new episodes of B4FV up every week. By the end of this week my hand should of recovered anyway, so no worries there.

During a short break between finishing off a MarilLena's Gallery update and continuing The Buzz update, I created the basics of the first FV 2005 version. I have obviously started another two since as it was a little too plain. Like many others I added screenshots of the first two to the History section. I'll be on a very tight schedule this year as I finish my work experience a day before the site's birthday ^_^

Last but technically least, I closed the User Involvement poll for the third episode of B4FV Season Three before my week holiday. Everybody was in fact voting for the same one, it seemed a waste just having it open any longer.

 31st October 2004
I can't believe it.. I had a huuuge update planned for Halloween and my FTP program isn't working. Now thanks to it no episodes have been released at all in two bloody months

I will try tomorrow or Tuesday, depending on when I can get on next. I don't know why I'm still getting bad luck. It just keeps crashing, and everytime I look at task manager it says there's two open with "not responding" next to them. I don't know what to do except try tomorrow, Argh.

I've spent all night on this, and I'm not a happy little blue mouse right now.

 26th October 2004
Marill called me last night.. she was ill over the weekend (again, she really should visit a doctor, again hmm..) so fell behind again. Oh and u can blame the new Pokémon games as well for being addictive supposably *shrugs* Also I haven't been around lately due to interviews and crap (which I sucked at) so we couldn't finish the eps we were doing together.

Good news is Marill really wants to get the first part of the finale done, so fingers crossed.

She will be writing "It's Your Duty" today, she is aiming to finish it as quite a bit is done already, and Bring It On is ready (kinda)

The new release date she's trying for is: 30th October

We're planning on meeting to finish The Rhythm/Burnt out and Falling on: 27th October

She WAS planning on doing the first part to the finale on: 26th October (today) but that bubble's been burst.

The new date will be: 31st October, but as it's mostly written already by Raichu and I, it should be up quicker than the others.

 17th October 2004
Hey guys, bad news I'm afraid. I have done a lot of the work I promised to do, but like I said in the last news post, I can't upload what's done until the rest is done too. I'm really really sorry again, but this week's been horrible..

I'll not go into details unless requested

I'll just tell you what's bugging me now.. my flipping computer. It's not making designing FV 2005 any easier either. Anyway like I said, the past week's been crap at work and at home. It's just one of those "nothing can go right" week's >_<

I'll try to finish for next Sunday at the latest. Sorry again, and remember, killing me isn't going to get the updates up either, but that would be nice

 22nd September 2004
As I always post news on the forums and forget to post it here, and vice versa, I've put a link to the News & Updates forum below in blue. If an update is late, and there's nothing about it here, click on that link. I know, I'm useless.. one of these days I'll remember to post in both in the same day.

Getting to FV. There's about thirteen/fourteen weeks left in this year, there's only been twenty odd episodes released this year and lets face it, Season Four really should get finished before everyone gives up on it. At the beginning of the year I made a few new years resolutions, two are already a lost cause but I intend to keep the last remaining one. That one is to get more than forty five episodes released in total in 2004. To do that we have to release twenty odd episodes in those thirteen/fourteen weeks. Right now this goal seems impossible to get to, but that doesn't mean we all wont try. B4FV Season Three's general episodes should help us release a little quicker. I'm not going to make a new schedule right now, what I am going to do is sort the episodes so that two can be released in one update, one in another.. for example two episodes like Cherry Coke and Too Far Gone, which are episodes four and five, could be released together. It's hard to explain without an actual schedule.. hopefully you'll see what I mean.

 21st September 2004
Good and bad news today.

First the bad. Even though I don't at all deserve it, I'm going on holiday for a week on the 24th of this month. I'm just going to visit my sis as she works in Ibiza. Luckily I write a lot on holiday as there's nothing else to do all day. I'll be back in October hopefully with at least one new B4FV episode.

Now the good. Tonight I'm hoping to finish off editing Closing of the Eyes, and I hope to upload it tonight or early the next morning. I do get back from work late but I'll try. Also work on The Rhythm and Burnt out and Falling will continue this week as Vulpix and I have planned to meet after work on Wed and Thursday. I'm hoping to have all three episodes done and dusted b4 I go away. I wont be able to do the finale while I'm away so I'm hoping I'll only be working on B4FV during the holl.

Look out for an update tonight/early tomorrow morning.. even if I don't finish everything there will be an update.

 11th September 2004
I think I'm very close to finishing off Closing of the Eyes.. FINALLY!

I just need to check through it again after finishing off what I'm doing now, and if it passes then I'll upload it. Unfortunately it has to be exactly like how I planned it, yet better, like with Happy Ever After. It probably will pass, it should as I've spent a heck of a lot longer on this one.

Oh btw, I'm really, really, really sorry about making you wait for two episodes to be finished (really). I was finished with Closing of the Eyes when I uploaded it but I accidentally missed scenes out in the original 3/4 parts and it didn't look right in the order it was in. The first two parts look fine though, but as I haven't had any sort of feedback from Vulpix (she's usually the first to give some) I'm even more paranoid about this episode than I was when I released it.

The Rhythm will continue when Vulpix and I can meet up again, right now it's difficult to do that on weekdays. I'm now on that New Deal "course" for the next 12 weeks u see.

 5th September 2004
Ok time is going to be harder to find now as I now have a "job" for the next thirteen weeks. It may surprise you, or not, to hear this but time was never really the problem. The problem was basically the following; being stuck in the house nearly all day every day and having nothing to actually get up for was making me more tired and lazy than usual. I obviously still did the work I was suppose to, just a lot slower than my usual pace. Let me tell you, staying in the house and this house all day isn't doing wonders for my already crappy health, so this mini "job" will help. Yes I'll have less time, but I still managed to get forty episodes up a year while being at school/college. It isn't just a coincidence that I started writing slower after I left college.

 31st August 2004
I'm betting that you were "surprised" when no updates appeared during the week, note it is rather hard to sound sarcastic when you're just typing. Anyway Wednesday was the day I was going to meet up with Vulpix to work on The Rhythm and the rest of Season Four, but I was too ill. Sunday was the first day for a while where I managed to get on the computer.. you know I really should visit a doctor sometime ^_^ It's not all bad, I did get inspired to do another song for the Rhythm on one of my sick days. Do remember to check the Please Note in The Rhythm's file.

Don't forget you can choose a title for the third episode of B4FV Season Three, or even make one up yourself.

 30th August 2004
Okeydokey, I thought I'd let you know now that I'm working on The Rhythm solo right now.. well I'm on "break" at this very moment in time.

I do plan on seeing Vulpix tomorrow to continue it there, hopefully get Burnt out and Falling typed up, and to at least get Vulpix's version of the first part to the finale. with that I can start piecing every version together  My version is just a basic plot though, unlike Raichu and Vulpix's which are the full episodes (so I heard, I haven't read them yet)..

Of course this was planned for last Wednesday but all Wednesday I couldn't get out of bed for most of it, let alone reach my computer or get my butt to Newcastle.. which is a good hour away by bus or something. After I did I just felt crappy, fred is kinda my witness for the crappy part lol.. of course he caught me when I was recovering from the crappy.

Thursday I tried to catch her unexpectedly but I just missed her. Friday and Saturday I was crappy again.. never mind. I will phone my doctors surgery to book an appoinment sometime this week, this isn't good.

Anyway that is all.. look out for The Rhythm.. I'm determined to get that up b4 September begins.

 22nd August 2004
Now that the most difficult episode since Caretaker or maybe Chain Reaction is finally completed (I'd say Happy Ever After but that was too recent ^_^), we can finally try and get back to normal. Everyone welcome back Vulpix and Raichu to the writing team, don't worry that's the last time I write on my own on lots of episodes in a row.

Moving on, I've decided to make The Rhythm the B4FV Season Three premiere. I made It's Your Duty the premiere a while ago because I thought that if The Rhythm was a failure the season wouldn't really get off to a good start. You know, like Season Four and the B4FV Season Two premieres, though I do think the rest of those seasons turned out good. The reason why I decided to put The Rhythm back to the episode one slot, was because a lot of planning and time has went into it and it has a very different style to all the other premieres.

B4FV Season Three will get started at long last sometime this week or next week, but Season Four will have to be completed before we continue. The episode Burnt out and Falling will follow The Rhythm, Vulpix has agreed to help type the rest of it up after The Rhythm is done. After those two are online, the Season Four finale will get uploaded piece by piece.

 11th August 2004
Hi guys, just a brief notice.. obviously there's no update tonight but there's a good reason 4 it. Marill supposably had some last minute interview this morning. She's planning an update on Friday the 13th..

 7th August 2004
Once again, I apologise for the lack of news and updates, this update should make up for all lack of news and other little things.

Somebody did report the problem with Tough Love a few weeks ago, I am taking care of it now. I thought while I was fixing it I could divide it into two parts as it is very long for a one part episode. I didn't realise it was so long until I checked the damaged online version.. and then the full version.

Writing for the two episodes Closing of the Eyes and Burnt out and Falling has been going slowly like I expected, so I had to use my old secret backup plan. I will still try and get those two up asap (Wednesday is my new deadline).. I've already written the most difficult part of the episode Closing of the Eyes, so the rest of it and the following episode should get done a little quicker. After that, since I haven't done as much work on the finale as the other writers have, I can safely say that the finale will not be ready anytime soon. The main part of the backup plan is to start B4FV Season Three before Season Four ends, as it's been continuously delayed because of Season Four for two months now. Check the schedule for a basic idea of when to expect the first episode.

Also for those who are interested in B4FV's final season, one episode has been removed from the listing and replaced by two brand new episodes. Vulpix supposably spilled the beans on the actual replacement which is called Home Sweet Holodeck at The Magazine, so go and check out what she wrote about that. The other episode really isn't a replacement as it's based after The Rhythm.. I still haven't chosen a proper title for it, the one it does have isn't that good but the episode is just a silly and fun episode where nothing really drastic happens, you know like most of Season One ^_^ No doubt Vulpix will spoil you about that one before I do.

Short news: I finally chose a suitable actor to play Damien before he is killed in late Season One. I chose Desmond Harrington to play him. For those who don't know who he is, he played the bad guy in Ghost Ship, and starred alongside Eliza Dushku in Wrong Turn. It's not a waste of time really as he's in B4FV Season Three. Sometime I'll put his name in the guest star list in every episode where he's played by ??

 23rd July 2004
Just a quick update on what's been happening recently and what's going to happen. I've had a crappy internet connection since.. *thinking* a while, and I can't stay online long enough to do anything. Right now I'm using a computer at the training place I'm in for one more week.. I could bring my FTP program with me next week if my connection doesn't fix itself over the weekend.

I'm going to try for an update on the 27th at the latest.. I know Tough Love is broken but right now there's nothing I can do about it. I may see Vulpix over the weekend so u never know.

 13th July 2004
Ok I'm a little later than I expected, but that's because of all of the Slayer X work I was doing last weekend. Still it's not that bad, these two episodes are up nearly two weeks after the last one. After B4FV Season Three is a few episodes old, new episodes will appear on Saturday mornings or evenings, or in some cases very early Sunday mornings. Also after altering the whole schedule so many times in the last few months, I've decided to cut it down so it only shows the schedule for the next month. At least that way if something changes then I wouldn't have to alter much.

In brief; Season Four is now a year old.. well the first episode is. Scary But True Part 2 was released and began Season Four on the 12th July 2003.

Getting back to Slayer X, in the past few months I've been changing the whole idea of it and more importantly, the main cast list. The site will reopen some time this year, hopefully, with episode information, the proper cast information, and other little things. Right now the series has six main castmembers, a couple of regulars, a couple of episode ideas (not written, just planned), and a nicely designed site to go with it. So yes, this series will make it onto the net after all. Over last weekend I created the website, and finished off important work involving the cast. I just hope when I do start off this series you all like it, then it's worth all the time I 'wasted' on it.

 7th July 2004
Don't worry, I haven't forgotten Monday's update. I was working on Slayer X over the weekend mostly (like making the website, planning out new episodes, finalising the new characters, and getting images of the new cast). I did finish Corporal Form Tuesday morning, I just have Tough Love to finish.

As the update day changes to a Saturday on the site's next birthday, and that's a very good day to update, I've scheduled Tough Love and Corporal Form for this Saturday. Once I get home I will be continuing Tough Love, IF I get it finished before Saturday then I'll update early (cue over the top laughter).

 29th June 2004
I've said it and you've all heard it time and time again, is there any point in saying it anymore? I will just because I can be polite sometimes.. I'm sorry for the long delay. I had a friend staying over for one week, and I really couldn't do much work during that time. Plus it doesn't help that for the past few days I've been sick and tired as well. Never mind.. I get that little condition every now and then, and the cure usually is to go on forever in the news section ^_^

To the point, because I only managed to get one episode up today instead of the three I planned, I have drew up a more realistic schedule. Of course because of this B4FV Season Three has been delayed again. I was trying too hard to get Season Four finished in under a year, I don't know why though. I did recently check the FV Awards results and I found that the winner of Best Season was a season that took over a year to write and that season had some of the hardest episodes I ever had to write, and the most complicated. Overall it is the season I'm most proud of. That did remind me that I shouldn't worry about taking too long to write the rest of the season. I can't really rush any of the episodes, it's impossible.. why do you think the episodes are getting released slowly?

Oh yes there is some good news today (shock horror ^_^), thanks to the new Season Four special, Happy Ever After, we have now reached our 150th episode (and that episode is our third biggest episode, that's probably why it took so long). It took us three years, six months, and twenty five days to get there.. not bad I suppose so there's another reason why nobody can really complain about all the present delays.

Last but not least there has been one more, and probably last, change to the Season Four listings. I have been writing the episode Genocide for a while, I realised it is similar in some ways to later episodes. I have decided to remove it from the season and put it into Season Five, it wont be a total waste of time then. It has been replaced by a newish episode called Corporal Form.

 11th June 2004
Uncomfortable heat waves and constant sharp pains in my head (no celebrating yet, it may just be migraine ^_^) made me fall behind, again! Monday was my last full free day to write for over a week but the above things (and of course a strain of writers block just before the weekend) really ruined it for me.

I am working on Happy Ever After, Tough Love and Genocide in the time I have, I'll try and get the online at the weekend or Monday. Of course I chose different update days for the other Season Four episodes. Closing of the Eyes/Burnt out and Falling is scheduled for release next Friday.. and the finale is scheduled for the Friday afterwards. A new B4FV episode will be released every six days from 2nd July until I can get back to the Monday updates I wanted.

It's probably all for the best anyway, this way Tough Love and Genocide will be released on the same day, same with the two eps before the finale, which is what I wanted the schedule to be like anyway. Slowly but surely I am making my way through Season Four, I don't think I've written so many episodes on my own in a row since well.. probably the Resolutions saga lol. I'll hopefully have better luck with the finale as it wont be just me writing technically.

 4th June 2004
May is finally over for one year, now it is June so lets just hope things will pick up now. This week I have two new episodes for you, well technically three considering I forgot to upload Decent Proposal on the last update. Now we're five episodes away from the finale on the new date on the 21st June, which is less than three weeks away. Lets face it, I wasn't going to get one run of the mill episode, a special, three complicated episodes and a really complicated three episode finale in one week. I want every single episode to be just as good as they have been planned out in my head, if I had done them in the week they would of been rushed and horrible. Of course you'll have to wait longer for B4FV Season Three to begin, but I'd rather have Season Four out of the way before starting it.

In other news the new forums are now officially open. They are an improvement to the previous forums as I added a bunch of extra small and large features to them. You can easily remember the URL for this forum, just like the previous ones, the address is www.fifthvoyager.net/mb , if you want to go straight to the portal which is a homepage for the forums you'll have to remember to put /home.php on the end. Believe me it'll be easier to remember the first URL I gave you, and just click Portal on the menu once you get there. The old forums are still reachable at forum.fifthvoyager.net but those forums wont be used as much as the new ones.

 24th May 2004
Yes Fifth Voyager is back with only seven days of May to go. Version 2.1 of Fifth Voyager 2004 is online earlier than planned to make up for lack of updates. Season Four will continue in batches until it's finale early June, then in the following week we will begin the final season of B4FV. The new forum will hopefully still open officially on the 29th.. a lot of work still needs to be done on it and there are a lot of bugs to fix too.

Despite the usual bad luck Fifth Voyager has in May we do have a lot to celebrate. The Season Four special, Happy Ever After, will be the 150th episode released. The next and final milestone will be the 200th episode, which will probably be a mid/late Season Five episode released in 2005. Luckily it wont happen in May because next year I'm taking a month break ^_^

If you still haven't voted in the FV Awards you've got until B4FV Season Three begins on the 14th June to cast your vote. The results will appear in that update. You've had plenty of time you know, it's been going for a year now.

In minor news, The Rhythm's huge playlist has been cut down from 40 songs to 18, excluding the ones in the User Involvement poll. If you're wondering I wasn't planning on having all 40 songs in the episode, a lot of the ones that were taken out were about the same things as the ones that will get in the episode.. the best ones for each genre got in. Vulpix posted the titles and the singers on The Magazine but she wont tell you which 18 will make it as she wont know until the episode gets written. Yes I'm that cruel ^_^ If you haven't voted in the User Involvement poll, you've got until until the 3rd June to do so.

 20th May 2004
Hey guys, I am really sorry about the lack of updates but there is a good explanation. My FTP program got updated a while back which was the source of all the bother. The problems started with the larger files not uploading fully, by mid May it just stopped uploading things altogether. It's obviously fixed now thanks to a patch I found. If I had known it was on my end and not the server I would of downloaded another program.

Down to business. I have been extremely busy while at the same time trying to survive May and fix the FTP problem, now I think I'm ready to finish off Season Four. If you do not visit the forums (which you should if the site isn't updated in a while) then you will not be aware of the new schedule.

Back to the new schedule.. because of the bother I decided that releasing the season finale in May was not a good idea so it was put back to June. Right now the release date for it is the 3rd June. In the meantime Season Four has to go on, The Web of Deceit and Decent Proposal have been completed but I'd rather not release them until I've at least finished Sundown, which is in the middle of getting it's already written scenes edited so it'll fit after Decent Proposal instead of before. Hopefully you shouldn't have to wait long, but I've said that before ^_^

 13th May 2004
Ok I've got to be realistic this month.. I've got tones of work to do (even more so with all the problems I've been having) so I've decided to extend the deadline, just by a few days mind you. The season finale, the new design and the new forum will appear (the forum will open, it's already around after all) on the 1st June, it could be from the early hours up until about 12 noon, or from 11pm + (in other words it could be 2nd June).

Obviously in the meantime I've got to worry about the episodes leading up to the finale (which I am working on mostly on my own). I did want to stick to the original plan of getting them all online about a fortnight b4 the finale but that would mean they'd have to appear next monday/tuesday (that's just not possible).

My new plan is to get everything up a week b4 instead, obviously not all together.

 12th May 2004
18 days to go until June. Well I've survived about 12 days of May(hem) and we're into the 13th (woohoo how nice). Anyone looking forward to May 13th 2005? It'll be on a Friday.

Down to business. Recently I've had bother with my FTP account so updates is impossible until I get it sorted (unless someone can tell me why the f*** my file manager in my control panel wont let me do a bloody thing). Luckily I managed to fix those files b4 this started happening (thanks trekygirl for pointing them out, I would of probably noticed later when it was too late).

Note there's only a few days left b4 all three writers begin working separately on the season finale.. episode 18 isn't even online let alone the two important ones b4 the finale (24/25).

Keep an eye on The Magazine (mag.fifthvoyager.net). Vulpix has promised to update and if she can get FTP access to do that, then I can send her the files. I'll keep u up to date.

 2nd May 2004
As you may or may not know already (that's the last bad pun I will make I swear), May is the worst month of the year for me, luck wise, so I don't want anymore screw ups. This is the reason why I've partially closed the site until the Season Four finale. I will continue to update as usual, only the site's basics are up right now so there's less work for me to worry about.

Season Four will continue but in a different way. This season is a little chaotic right now with all the different schedules I kept cooking up, so I've decided to clear episodes eighteen to twenty five from the schedule. The episodes will appear just not at any planned times, but they have to be released in the right order so I wouldn't worry. This way the atmosphere is a little more relaxed. Not perfectly relaxing though because work on the finale has to begin in two weeks.

 27th April 2004
Well I must say April has gone by way too fast for my liking, never mind ^_^ It's funny that it's been exactly two weeks since the mini crisis and a similar thing happened an hour after it's two week anniversary. Ok it's probably not funny to normal people, I was up all night on Cherry Coke after all ^_^

The modified version of This Just In is online, and so is the cut down version of Connection Effects (I'm sure Vulpix will hate me for getting rid of some of the scenes). Serious writing is underway for the episodes The Web of Deceit and Sundown. Also I got incredibly stuck on Time About, since it's not important to the season it's been put back into Season Five. Check out the new schedule, the new plan is to get as many episodes written in April as we can manage ^_^

If you want to know what the site will look like for the rest of the year, take a look at history, that version will be at the bottom of the page. I did do another version (Version 2) before that but I was not impressed with it in the end. I am impressed with Version 2.1 though ^_^ Also if you want to take a look at what I've done with the new forum, click here. Note it isn't officially open as there's new extra's I need to install and I need to fix some bugs. Once you see both you'll see where a lot of my time has gone.. the forum has taken up more of my time as I'm a rookie when it comes to php ^_^

 21st April 2004
It's been a week since the crisis I mentioned took place, I think I've recovered so I'll fully get back to work. I was really hoping that since the site isn't very popular no one would notice, but some people have and I do feel pretty bad about this. April has been a good month for feedback ironically ^_^ Season Four is in theory a good season, and every episode is planned fully so there shouldn't be any problems, unless unlucky May kicks in again this year. Like I said last week there's a chance the site will go down, I do think there's a good chance, and I'll have to reupload everything again.. I'm sure I had to do that last May ^_^

Ok back to today, This Just In should appear soon.. Vulpix read through it recently and she suggested that it should be edited. I didn't notice the episode wasn't uploaded and I only noticed when it was reported (sorry again to the reporter), my small brain has been playing weird tricks on me since the small crisis last week but that's no excuse. Anyway I'm in the middle of adding extra scenes Vulpix suggested, and editing one or two of the old ones. Of course Vulpix wanted me to cut down her solo project, Connection Effects as she got a little carried away with it, so she says. I think it's fine but it's her episode, she can't decide which scenes should go ^_^ I promise I will get everything up as soon as it's finished.

 16th April 2004
All of the files I missed out should be all up now, sorry for the inconvenience. I'd better warn you now, there's a chance that the site may go down this month or May (see the curse of May lives on ^_^). If it does go down there's a chance that I'll have to re-upload everything again, so don't worry the site will come back. Hopefully this will be all sorted out by the 29th May when the season finale of Season Four is due. I do plan on making the second design for Fifth Voyager 2004 and releasing the new forum on the same day. If the site does go down I will have more time to do that as I wont need to use the internet until everything needs reuploading. I'll keep you updated on this. There's also a chance that I wont be able to get the two new eps up tomorrow as I still haven't finished either of them.

Note: Somebody used the upload fiver form to upload the fiver for Baby Don't Swear and Spread Rumours but I didn't get the actual fiver. The episode is reserved but I'm not sure if the writer hasn't finished it yet and just wanted to reserve it, or is going to send it via email as it's too long for the form, or just wanted one of us to write it. If the person who did this is reading please let me know which by using this email address: marillena_2002@yahoo.co.uk.

 14th April 2004
I lost my FTP access during upload of the files on Sunday, I have recently gotten access back but another problem has come up. Lets just say it's a mini crisis and I wont go into details about it. I will still try and update on Saturday, but if the problem continues on up until then I will get the others to write until it is sorted. If any of the files I missed out in the updates on Sunday still aren't up (I was in a hurry to get off the computer after all and I apologise for that) then report them and I'll get them uploaded as soon as I can.

 11th April 2004
Happy Easter everyone. As promised I have a big update for you all. This update will probably span two days as my internet is really slow lately and I got online way too close to midnight. Check the updates link to see what's up today, and what'll be up tomorrow. As expected there are several things not done yet, one is the episode Connection Effects. Vulpix is writing on her own and she is not done yet. I will notify you when she's done, but if I'm offline when she is, she'll upload it without a warning. It really depends if she bothers to download the news page, update and upload it ^_^.

Also I haven't finished editing Season One so it's a little more readable.. all of the season is formatted though. The episodes which are not finished with have been deleted for the time being. The fourth episode planned has been delayed until next week, it is still in the major planning stage and it is a confusing time episode ^_^

Recently Vulpix put up a new quiz on The Magazine, so that link in the Other menu should work. She plans on adding another new one this month.

3rd April 2004 - As you've probably noticed the site has been very poorly maintained for last two months, well all I can say is sorry and promise to make up for it. I was ill up until Thursday last week, but I did start on working on a nice big update which I planned for today. I don't have enough to update today so I've decided to save everything planned (excluding the new desktop images as I had to update The Buzz briefly during the week as well) until next Saturday. I will keep you up to date on what's happening during the week, also don't forget to check out the link at the top of this page, it leads to the forum and sometimes I post quick news there.

25th March 2004 - Right to start off, sorry for not updating the site in a while.. my bad. We'll go back to the weekly updates from today. Now, down to the news..

Thanks to my internet connection screwing up the marathon on it's second day (the marathon thread explains) I haven't gotten much work done and I've been left with a really packed schedule. The way to getting through it is to make it less packed, in other words cancel the rest of the marathon. I have a new plan that is a little less crazy (check the schedule, it'll tell you what's going on), and it may work if I get my internet connection fixed very soon, or if it fixes itself. Speaking of which I'm really sorry today's episode is very late, ever since the incident I haven't been as focused on writing. I think I've recovered now ^_^

I know it's nearly April but while I was sorting out the mess caused by the marathon, I planned out the schedule up until New Years. For one thing Season Four is twenty nine episodes long, with some good new additions. Also I've decided to delay beginning Season Five until B4FV Season Three is completed. This has been done so the last B4FV episode will be added just before the site's fourth birthday, and the movie will be released on the actual day. Season Five will premiere at the very least sometime in December, the latest being the first week in 2005.

Soon I will be opening up a new forum that's hosted here instead of a friends. I started properly working on it on the 11th, it's installed and the basics are there but there's a lot of work to be done on it yet. The old forum will be up for a long time basically as a back up, just in case something happens to the new one or the site goes down. I'll keep you updated.

Last and least, I will begin Slayer X very soon as I've come up with some good ideas for it, plus it'll help me get more experience in writing... note that I don't plan on writing series after series of Slayer X like with Fifth Voyager.

Marathon News/Updates - view here - note: this news page is ordered so recent news is first, however the forum is different. The oldest post is at the top and the most recent is at the bottom.

25th February 2004 - Just briefly, from today until the episode "Sundown" gets released.. all Season Four Marathon news will be added to this thread. It'll be easier to update on news this way, well as long as the forum doesn't go down that is.

22nd February 2004 - Ok I have bad news, Firera was a little too busy to help write True Colours in time for the marathon tomorrow.. some of the marathon is already written but it can't go ahead until True Colours is ready. Firera should be a little less busy this week so the marathon will probably only be a few days later than expected. We're aiming for it to start on Thursday or Friday at the latest, by then we should have, at the very least, four out of seven marathon episodes completed. Yep you've guessed it, just in case I added Connection Effects to the marathon, there is now seven in it. This should be interesting, you really shouldn't miss this 'experiment' ^_^

12th February 2004 - You can now vote in the final for the FV Awards, ones like Best Episode and Best Looking Female/Male are up, also some new ones are now up. If you haven't already please take part.

6th February 2004 - Good news, an old friend has told me that she'll be taking time off from her busy schedule to help write a Season Four episode. It's been sixteen months since she last contributed to this site and we're glad to have her back, even if it is just for one episode. Her leaving the site after two years of working on this series sparked off one little rumour that we're glad is ancient history. Anyway FifthVoyager.Net will gladly welcome back the girl who helped get the series started off back in December 2000, the one and only Firera! Yes she will help me write True Colours, the latest episode to continue the storyline started in the first ever episode, which she wrote with me three years ago.

The episode Mind Games has been deleted since it was taking too long to write, it will most probably appear in B4FV Season Three as I don't want what I've done so far to go to waste. So now B4FV Season Two is finally complete, a month later than it should have been. Of course the finale may still be broken, the last time I thought I fixed it the file was broken again the next day. Maybe it only worked when it felt like it. It does look fixed again, but you never know.

I've delayed the Season Four marathon by a week, out of all the weeks in February I managed to choose the one where I just can't work every day. To make up for it there are now six episodes in the marathon, and that episode will be aired on the Saturday. Just to update, the marathon will begin on the 23rd February and will end on the 28th.

If anyone stopped by The Magazine anytime last week or a few days after the latest update and noticed several hundred banners advertising Fateback then worry no more, the site's now hosted here. That problem wont happen here, if my hosts did put up banners I'd demand my money back. Also I had to permanently close down The Aquarius and Zoe Birkett Unofficial. I didn't want to leave all those good images in the hands of greedy twits who can't just advertise somewhere else (come on if someone saw about eight banners ruining somebody's framed site, they're not going to think "gee lets host my site there, they seem swell" are they, idiots). To the point, I'll have to put up all or most of the images from them up on The Buzz when it reopens (yey more work, thanks Fateback >_<).

29th January 2004 - Between the 16th and 20th February there will be a Season Four marathon, until then there will be no brand new episodes from that season. Why you ask? Well for one thing I've worked it out so it'll get me back onto the schedule I had before I took that week off mid January. Secondly it'll allow me to finish off working on the new version of The Buzz and Roses Are Red. Thirdly I can get Mind Games finished first and afterwards I can finally just focus on one series for a while. Fourthly, I am just determined to make a marathon work for once. if I can make this one work it'll mean that I may be able to fit Slayer X into my schedule, in the near future.

From today to the 12th it'll be everyone's second chance to nominate any episodes from B4FV Season One and FV Seasons One to Three, for the Best Episode Category. We really need to sort out all of the ties in several of the rounds ^_^ You can nominate any episode from the seasons mentioned, here. Remember though, you can only vote for one episode per round, in total you can vote for nine episodes (one per round).

Last but not least the latest User Involvement polls are now closed as the planning for Shattered Time will begin very soon.

23rd January 2004 - I've had a go at fixing Instinct, it works on my computer so it should work on everyone elses. If it doesn't, please report it. Due to it's writing problems, Images in the Mind has been deleted, and will be replaced with Mind Games, it's basically a similar episode.. just written out differently to what I had originally planned. I know it's a bit late to do this, but I do hope it'll be worth the wait. Of course the wait was longer than I wanted it to be because I was ill for almost a week, damn mortality.

I've added a link to the top of this page, that goes straight to the forum for this site on the message board. I sometimes post quick news in the Official Site forum to let everyone know what's going on before here cos it's quicker and easier for me to do so. If an update is late or something check out that forum, I've probably explained myself there.

Saturday started off the final round of the nominations for the Best Episode category, but that isn't the end of it. Two rounds didn't get any nominations, and I've got ties in all the others, excluding one. What I've decided to do about it is make the rounds that need extra nominations available again for just a week. At the end of the week I'll just pick out all the winners, ties or no ties. If no one else nominates from today then you'll have fourteen (instead of the nine planned) episodes to choose from in the final. Also a lot of other award categories (including Best Looking Male/Female) will appear at the same time as the Best Episode category one, which will appear on the 12th February.

Vulpix wanted me to let everyone know that The Magazine is back up and running, several pages will appear later in the week as she's still working on the actual sections. According to her she's been spending the last month or so coming up with designs for the damn thing. Lets just hope she's got some ideas for The Buzz, cos the only design I've come up with I have this feeling I'll grow tired of it very quickly. Kinda like some of the previous FV 2004 designs, just not as bad ^_^

15th January 2004 - I know some people are going to hate me for this, but I've decided to use that spare week in June in the schedule (between Season Four finale and B4FV Season Three premiere) to help me catch up with everything. It was going to be a week off for me, but instead it's going to be another working week, so don't worry, I have got the worst part of the deal. I will restart Season Four next Thursday, but keep checking back during the week for other updates. Hopefully I should have Instinct fixed, Sibling Rivalry fully re-written, Lullaby's third and fourth parts completed (quite close to finishing, so there you go), and last but not least; Images in the Mind's final parts.

12th January 2004 - To get you right into the Season Four mood, as we do have just under six months of Season Four episodes to get through ^_^ , the fourth episode has been totally re-written and it's available to check out now. I do think it's a lot better than the first attempt, so don't delay ~_^

I forgot to mention that the site received another award on the 30th from Starbase 147 so if the webmaster is reading, thank you very much.

4th January 2004 - Just a quick update to tell you that Round Eight of the Episode Nominations is up.

1st January 2004 - Hope some of you are not too hungover to read this, but happy new year everyone ^_^ I hope all of you who make em, have made good new years resolutions this year. I certainly have.

The second poll for Shattered Time is available in User Involvement, so don't forget to cast your vote. This Saturday Round Eight of the Episode Nominations will appear, so if you haven't nominated any episodes in Round Seven and you feel one in particular deserves to be in the final then I'd nominate today or Friday.

Down to proper business, B4FV Season Two comes to an end today leaving Season Four to continue on it's own. You may have noticed some changes to B4FV Season Two listings.. I have wrote down the reasons why on the forum here (explanation is in the reply, not the original message ^_^).

Of course like I said there is more to the decision than what's written. Raichu was worried about the old B4FV Season Three premiere, The Rhythm, which is a completely new type of episode.. it is the Fifth Voyager version of the Buffy Musical.. and that means we have to write songs or at the very least parody some ^_^ She was worried that something would go wrong with it, like it would have to be rushed and it would just be a weak first episode for a season. Speaking of rushed, another reason for It's Your Duty's delay was that I was worried that I'd have to rush it, and I don't like to rush finales. Every finale so far were not rushed and they turned out quite well. And since I only had to write the finale during the last two days, instead of the finale and an important climax episode, I feel more relaxed about it and I can write better.

Anyway I hope you enjoy the three new episodes besides all that, and I'll see you, at the latest, on the 15th January with the first of many Season Four installments.
