4th December 2007
This time last year I wrote quite a lot to celebrate the series' birthday, despite a slow year for episode releases. There was still a reason to as the few episodes that were released were some of my best. This year I can't say that anymore. I cannot explain why this year has only really had two/three episodes. My love for FV is still great, I have more ideas than I should have, Season Five has the potential to be my best season after today's episode, the series has made me seriously develop the book series I created to replace my old one, and as per usual I've had plenty of time past April to write a lot. I wish I had an explanation for you that was better than "I've got writers block". I did however make a bad not subtle joke last year about 2007 being FV's seventh year, and instead of good luck, number seven would be bad luck. It is pretty embarrassing that 2007 has had the same amount of brand new episodes as FV's starting year 2000, where the series obviously started seven years today.

All I can really do is apologise for my mess, and promise that better things are to come. Lets just hope year eight is a lot better than seven (no pun intended), a little just isn't good enough and to be fair, it isn't hard to beat. Season Five is the series' eighth season technically, this is FV's eighth year so it's about time I pulled myself together. I do owe that to you very patient people. Anyway I hope you enjoy the new episode and all the new content. Lets hope I can do some more before 2007 is over.

From tomorrow on though my dialup days should be behind me as I received my new broadband modem today. I'm not dumb enough to attempt to setup something involving my internet on the site's birthday, knowing me I'd mess it up and be internetless for a while. As soon as broadband's up my old accounts gone. Plus there's two computers to do it on, sigh. Of course there wont be much difference, when it comes to upload speeds there isn't much of a difference.

----> This year isn't exactly big for news besides the fact that I'm a useless (censored) who can't get out of a writers block. There isn't really any other news "articles" to add to this page, so this is here to explain the gap <---

Excellent news. My course finishes tomorrow afternoon. I don't have to go anywhere really until early May.. uhoh May is coming around again. Anyway I will try to cut down on playing my new Pokémon game (love it) and complete Meets the Eye. I didn't want to have to release only half, but it was about 8 in the morning on the 22nd when I got to the point where I wanted to put the To Be Continued part.. there's still a bit to type up from notebooks, but thankfully that wont take long. I hope you like the episode so far anyway (let me know in it's topic for now, when it's completed don't forget to vote for it), and it's new banner.. so pretty ^_^ I've fixed one problem with the links page and of course I did this page which I forgot to do on Sunday. Next up is the forum which is a mess thanks to me rushing it's new template online. The problems that I've discovered are in the design only so that's not too bad. If you discover anything wrong with it, reply to this topic (guests can reply here only due to spammers creating new topics) to let me know.

22nd April 2007
Today is the day..

.. and I'm not talking about Pokémon Diamond and Pearl's release *cough* damn you CD Universe, you said 20th was the shipping date *cough* I'm actually talking about the re-opening of the site.

Whether I finish Meets the Eye or not, the site will re-open today regardless. I will have a go, it would of been sooner but the damn forum template decided to be annoying.

I've chosen 7am for the launch, knowing me that'll probably change but I can't stay up that much longer as I have plans today

I'm going to have a quick break to unwind (thank you again forum template  ) and warm up - it's bloody freezing in here  Lol, the song "Heat of the Night" starts playing not long after typing that  . After that I'll continue typing Meets the Eye.

Off topic note, why didn't anyone tell me that Firefox has a spell checker  Typing here on this browser feels like typing in word.

Ok a quick post to let you know what's happening.

I was planning on using the four days off from last Friday to do a lot of work for the site, but I've been ill since Friday morning typically. I still don't feel great, but that didn't stop me doing some work last night. I have hoped to get some work done while on my placement, but because of the Easter holidays allowing the damn brats to take over the suite all day where I'm at I only got some done on the Thursday. Two and half days of that to go. Sigh.

Meets the Eye is pretty close to completion, finally, it's mainly the new forum template that needs doing: the images for it, and something needs fixing. Apart from those two, it's just ickle things that wont take long to do.

I'll try and get a date up for the reopening soon, lets see how today and tomorrow goes.

Ok good news for once. I finally come up with a site design that I like, that isn't just the one I showed you and it's in frames. However it still doesn't solve the menu problem out, the menu is permanently on the banner lol. Ah well.

I'll post a demo of it when I get the home page done to complete the look, then you guys can vote for which one you like the best.

24th February 2007
Ok it's been one difficult but uneventful week for me and the site. Last week was great cos I nearly always in the mood to work, and I got a lot done. This week, it all went. Just yesterday I felt it starting to come back, same with today, but nothing has been done because everything I did didnt come out as I expected.

I'm struggling with the new website design. I have a one that I know I wont like after a few months, but at the moment it's nice enough. It also doesn't cure the menu issue, I could only get it to look right out of frames. My frames designs have looked terrible, today's one I couldn't get the top banner to look right as it needs to have a background image so it works in every resolution.. no matter what I did, it just looked awful.

I'm back to square one with the new design. Im going to post a demo of it here, and I'd love your opinions on it. I will do extra changes to it, but I do want to know what you think before continuing with this one. I might have to restart again after all.

Moving on to the forums, I haven't begun with the template properly. I'm still waiting for extra feedback on what people want. Make sure you check out the topic in the FV.Net Community about this, and let me know.

The episodes themselves are pretty good so far. Meets the Eye I'm sure you'll love (maybe not the Big Brother skit that starts it off, ah hem), Dead Or Alive will be quite a tear jerker in places, if I write it well enough anyway ^_^ Queuing Forever will be the toughest of all of them, if I do it right.. well I still dont know if it'll be any good but it's an important one.

I've got something nice planned for you all.. I know, with other sites that would be good news but here it's like Lisa Scott-Lee official. Yes there's an album, but you're not getting it for AGES! And when we do release it, it wont even be on CD, it's downloads only, hahaha to all 56kers like poor Marill who can only use paypal to pay online. Ok maybe Fifth Voyager isn't this cruel lol, exaggerating like that just makes me feel better as I can't ever be that bad ^_^ Anyway this time I'll give you a good idea what the plan is..

Remember last summer's big gift? No, ok here's a clue: marathons and new site design. Lol, you'll never guess what this nice thing is now, mwahahahahaha. Oh wait, crap.. oh well. Hopefully this time a new forum design will appear with it, yes the one I wanted up for the site's birthday ^_^ I haven't really touched until recently, and well I've been stuck at a stupid waste of time course where they teach you nothing, so you can't expect much forum work to be done with Windows 95 computers with crapper internet than my computer's previous modem. Below is what I plan to give you, I don't know the date yet as you know how well my deadlines work out.. all I can say is 'soon' ^_^

+ Obviously the new site design, which I'm currently stuck on because of all the different resolutions and whatnot. I had a nice banner too, and I may have to redo it cos it's not working. Anyway rest assured, new design will replace this one as the menu system needs to be in frames.. lol
+ At least three episodes of Season Five. We're way overdue for a new Season Five episode, so I hope I can do more than three for you. We'll see.
+ Hopefully new forum look.
+ Little things like new desktops and new polls.

In other news I've updated the sister series site Dimension 5.2 with the latest season changes, hopefully I'll have a review of the first episode sometime soon. You'll be happy to know that there are now four (eps 1, 2, 3 and a later Season One ep) episodes completed from it's first season now.

14th January 2007
Like I said in the updates, the small code for the vote button at the bottom of each episode are finally getting updated. I've been using the same "free" one for years, but now my host supplies their very own code I can use which I know works.. The old one seemed volatile, on the other forms like Vote 4 An Ep and the Awards it refused to show me the results. With the episode one it was doing it's job, but the it had a habit of not sending them at all.

I've tested one episode's new code and it works, as it's the same code for each episode they should work for all. *This is where you come in. If you want to vote for an episode, go ahead as normal but report any weird errors or happenings to me. The code should automatically send you straight to the episode index afterwards.. so that's normal. I'd tell it to go back to the ep you just read but that's a hell of a lot more fiddly than what I'm doing now. Converting Vulpix's old poll section from the mag so it works with the new code and this site's template wore me out enough (geeze I thought I used too many tables 0_0). Besides you should of just read it so there's no need to go back to it, *eyes shift nervously* right? ^_^

Don't forget to vote in the polls. That damn page was an annoyance to do (thanks Vulpix for putting in all those bloody tables, I was better off starting off fresh), so I do hope at least one of you votes in at least one poll.. it's worth it then *hint*

Other "new" sections in January is the return of the old History page which shows off all (that was available to get a screenshot anyway) the previous site designs. Another is the Season Five Information section, it should get you interested in Season Five if the wait has killed your previous interest, or if it hasn't it should be an interesting read. Both of these are in Guides section until I do decide to make a new site design that allows me to change the menu, unlike my current one which is a faff lol. See, now I have a reason to change the design.. over a month too late but never mind.  Well that should be on my list of things to do in at least February.

5th January 2007
Hey guys, first post of 2007. I hope you all had a good New Years Eve and Day at least, great's ok too. My New Year started slow; long, event and work less. Luckily I just recently felt like working on FV so here I am. Lets hope the rest of the year is long, or at least year like then it'll be much better than 2006 which flew by, I'm not the only one that noticed that either. Oh well, who cares, this is a News for FV section so without anymore off topic rambling..

I have high hopes for 2007, Season Five is almost alone so I can finally concentrate on it without worrying about how long B4FV Season Three's been going on. Two more FV related things yet to come are the fourth movie which is stand alone, and possibly Slayer X. I don't have high hopes for the latter for 2007 anyway, but everything else I do. Although the User Involvement poll results suggested that I should release the movie a part at a time, in between Season Five releases, I am making Season Five the top priority. I think we'll have at least three, which by the way are 90% guaranteed to be brilliant (take ten away as I can't ever be too vain) and then we'll see about the movie.

As not much of Season Five is known by anyone else but me, and one other, and well I still expect episodes to be released slowly I decided to create a new section. This section will hopefully be updated every now and then with new information. I don't want to spoil future story arcs as I think Season Five contains the best ever main story arc (courtesy of one of my old plans for a novel series, which can't be done) and some of the best character based ones.

Character stuff is mentioned in this section, so I hope you check it out. You can get to it via the home page, and here.

If you're curious about the next three eps I mentioned, and you don't want to look at the new section, I'll help out. Meets the Eye is a break from the main season arc, it's a nice supernatural mystery like In The Eye. Dead or Alive is where it all begins.. two plots: One with Jessie falling fatally ill in a mysterious way. Two has James and Daniel taking those pesky trainee Slayers for survival training, but are pulled into a too real final exam on the subject where they do discover something about Death Corridor and where they are, which changes a lot. James earlier reveals that he's had several similar visions of Voyager in a deadly battle, which Ylara saw in an earlier episode. This leads to the battle in Queuing Forever. This ends on the mini cliffhanger of Kiara returning, which Paradise continues straight from.
