Original VS Reboot #Round 13: Test of Time

One version had a sleepover with Pokémon and Digimon pyjamas, Twister, and a really hit and miss flashback (fairy)tale involving; knives turning into forks, Red Dwarf scenes getting people evicted, headteachers taking their expelled students to any city they fancy, but to be fair it was told to mainly kids so  Anything goes right?

Oh and Craig being an extreme creep calling dibs on 15 year old girls.

And those are the good parts.

The newer version stole a literal few pages out of Voyager's canon book Pathways, trapping most of the crew in an outdoor prison. Here the same tale is told with less taxi driver headteachers and Red Dwarf scenes, but still keeps the best bits like forknives and never fully explained stories of abuse. It even has the gall to tell almost all of original's Part 2 flashbacks via narration, as a big joke too. How disappointing. Instead you get a crumb of Craig's past, an insight into FV-Tom's psyche, and who can forget Janeway's epic rant about the confusing Extreme Night finale and Timeless?

So, which do you prefer?
No Marill, no one's seen you playing with your dolls again
